Hi, I'm very new to vaping, having thus far only tried the Mistics from my local Walmart. Looking around the net I managed to stumble across Apollo's site and skimmed around looking at reviews and such. They seem to be well rated across the board, but as a newbie I really have no idea where I should get started with them. Thought maybe I could ask for some feedback from someone a bit more experienced than me, which right now would be more or less everybody!

Ideally I'd like to use one of the kits that uses ejuice for refilling as opposed to cartridges. While the Mistics have been a pretty decent gateway for me and have gotten me off of analogs, the shortages of refill carts in my area are driving me nuts! Ideally I'd keep ordering the ejuice refills online from Apollo anyways, but it'd be nice to be able to walk into a local smoke shop for a refill bottle if I absolutely need to.

I do need something with a decent battery life to it. Typically my work days are 9-10 hours, and with the Mistics I've found that I have to carry at least 2 batteries and 2 carts on me just to be sure I'm set for the day. Ideally I'd like to carry only 1 charged unit that will cover me for the day.

As for vapor production and throat hit I'm a bit too new to really understand all of it. I was a pack a day smoker on analogs, and thus far I'm averaging 1 to 1 and a half carts a day on the Mistics, closer to 2 carts on days off work. Sometimes it feels like I have to take extra long drags on the Mistics to even feel anything. Probably means something on the stronger side would be better.

Can't think of any other relevant info to include here. Thank you in advance to anybody that drops by with advice, I could really use it here! This is the first time in over 20 years I've felt like I'm free from analog cigs, and I'd very much like to stay the hell away from them.

Id recommend you do a little bit of research an for what you are looking for Id highly suggest looking into getting an ego twist battery, 650 mah will probably work for you and get through the day on a single charge but if you want you can get the 1000mah which will last you probably 2 days on a charge or close to it, it uses a 510 connection which are the threads on the device so the cartomizers(cartriges) you need for it will be the 510 ones, with the ego twist you can twist the dial on the bottom to turn up or down the volts which will adjust the throat hit to whatever you prefer, if you do go this route which is what I reccomend and think will work very well for you you will need the ego twist battery, and ego charger, a couple packs of standard resistance cartomizers and a bottle of eliquid, I havnt heard of the site you are mentioning, but for what I am suggesting I would check out myvaporstore.com you can find everything I have said all on that one site for the basically the lowest price anywhere else, not to mention the site is very good in general, good luck and dont get frustrated vaping is trial and error you will figure it out :p, Chuck B.

Welcome to the forum. If you are looking for a cig-a-like, I would go for a Volt. However, none of these types will last you all day. I would go for a Joyetech eGo-C Twist. I just ordered a Kit from "My Vapor Store Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette | myvaporstore for $78.19 total (includes 5% discount, and shipping). It's best you call them if you can because you'll have to tell them you want the Twist upgrade. I couldn't find a way to do that on line. Give them the code: 5ECF to get a 5% discount.

You'll be surprised how much more vapor you'll get from the twist, and your juice will also taste different. You will also need to get some e-juice. Suggested vendors are Highbrow, Heather's Heavenly Vaps, Virgin Vapor, and Mr's T's Bakery. If you smoked a pack/day, I would probably try 24 mg nic. content, but wouldn't go lower than 18 mg. All, or at least most juices need to steep or age for about a week before using. There is a thread on the forum covering steeping.

If you are looking at the apollo site, I'd go with the v-tube kit. It is by far their best e-cig, and after the discount it is also one of their least expensive. They are out of the full size ones (use a 2000mah battery), but the mini with its smaller battery will still last 2-3 times as long as what you are using now.

Pick up an extra battery and a couple of the CE4 clearomizers, and you should be set, although I would look around for a couple of Vivi Nova tanks instead.

I did the lil rechargables from the gas station from May until last weekend... I bought an lavatube clone with tank on top. It was driving me nuts that a pair of the rechargers wouldn't get me through the day from a battery perspective... My buddy has an ego like described above... I went with one that uses a bigger 18650 type battery and love it !!! I am on day4 without a recharge, and putting a little extra juice in the tank every other day... You should be able to get a kit for ~ $100... I was spending $15/wk on the throw away tips for the rechargers, which was great compared to $35-40/wk for ciggies, but after 15 weeks, that was $225 ...

510 Pro DCTank Combo (going with one of the higher ohm cartomizers is better for 4+ volts settings)

Thank you all for the advice, it's given me a lot to think about! After looking at the various options I think the eGo Twist does sound right for me. That does bring up more questions though. Does it use a tank system or a system where I have to drip the liquid in? Thinking the tank would probably be better, but yet again I don't have the experience to know for sure. :p

You can get the eGo-T, which is a tank, but I do suggest getting a Mini Vivi Nova. You do not drip with either. Dripping takes a little practice, and I haven't dripped myself yet. You relly need to gt a few 2.4 OHM replacements heads. They don't last forever. Nothing does in the e-cig world. Well, maybe a Provari comes the closest!

And once again quick answers. Man I'm loving this forum!!! Thanks again for all the helpful advice. So far here's what I've picked out for absolutely necessary to start out. Is there anything that I absolutely need to add to this list just yet? I figure I can always look into upgrading my kit on future checks, but for now I'm already near the $90 mark which is a bit ouch on my salary. :p

Joye eGo-Tank System XXL 1000mAh Starter Kit - eGo-Tank System XXL 1000mAh Starter Kit (selected low resistance type B atomizers)
Twist battery upgrade - https://www.myvaporstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1TUF&CartID=5
3 different 10ml bottles of ejuice. Different flavors, all 2.4% strength (extra high)

Anything special I'm really missing here? I will look into the Mini Vivi Nova's in the future, but a bit pricey to do it this round. ;)
