Just got the Apollo VTube, gotta say that its pretty great. Currently I am using the Boge 510 cartomizers and I still need to figure out how to punch them. My brother showed me something that you can get from Home Depot and you just put the cartomizer in and hammer the nail down, anyone know a name for this tool?

Also, I need to find a standard battery charger for the VTube bats, they're 3.7 volt 850mAh, I'm sure you guys which one they are: these.

So yeah, where can I find that punching tool, and where could I find a charger for this.

Hi and welcome to ECF,

The place I use for batteries and chargers is RTD Vapor RTD Vapor

Now the pila is the best option on a charger currently but if like some of us you can't afford that the Xtar WP2 II, is also a good charger, tho some don't like the spacers.
+1 for what she said.

Good luck with the punching your own cartos. I tried that for a while with one of the $8 punch tools sold online. I almost always ended up distorting the cylinder so out of round that it was difficult to pass the carto through the endcaps. I even tried slotting with a dremmel....once. Carto flooded, and I've never flooded a carto before.

I've returned to buying lazer-drilled cartos. I found a place that offers a choice between 1 and 3 holes in all resistances. Smoktek has them for $2 each. This takes the human error factor out of the mix and gives me consistancy.

A lot of people use saddle valves to do it, I think thats what your brother was talking about. I use one of the tools sold at Phinac to do mine. I don't really use my carto tank much though.

Yeah, the carto punch tool I have is the one that I bought from Phiniac. :nah:

Welcome to ECF. I tried the saddle valves everyone says is so easy. I destroyed two saddle valves cause the end is to soft to punch a stainless steel carto. Decides I'd try to slot one. Well needless to say I'm now on an adventure to find a vendor that sells what I want. I might try to get one of the V2's? I think is the name. But it's just a lot easier to buy them that way.

I will say that I've read good reviews about the carto punch tool that Clouds of Vapor sells. But its $40. The Provari of carto punch tools is what I call it

For as much as I use up cartomizers in my tanks, I just can't see paying that much. (I said that about the Provari before I got one, too.)
You can get replacement parts for it should the spike get dull, but still.

For the time being I going the easy route with pre-punched.

That depends, there are some stores that do carry good li-ion battery chargers, but you NEED to make sure it is designed for them, not just any ol charger.

So you can call around to places near you and see if any have what is needed. If time is an issue, I can tell you from experience that unless they are effected by this storm, if you placed an order with RTD you will have tracking number either late tonight or first thing in the morning. Now if they are in the storm path it might take a couple extra days.
