This is my fault and it was a stupid mistake. Lesson learned. I have a bottom firing mod and I set it down without locking it. I have never had a problem with it firing before but it only took 1 time. When I picked up the mod it was hot, I pulled the battery and let it all cool down.

When cleaning my Aqua rba I noticed that the small plastic insulator directly under the positive post had melted slightly. I am concerned because this part keeps the positive positive post from touching the deck of the rba. I need to replace this part. I have already ordered another aqua clone, but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get this part. Failing that is there a type of plastic washer or other insulator I could use that would be safe to use inside the rba?

How embarrassing. I've had my aqua for a week, and I managed to toast my insulator while I was buying a snack at the grocery store. Auto-fire for 5 minutes... Super scary and stupid. That mod is getting retired.

Anyway, if you guys are still looking, here is the whole replacement kit : FATDADDYVAPES - Aqua RBA by Footon UVO Complete Overhaul/Rebuild Kit

you didn't? not sure where but you can purchase stronger magnets so even when set down, it wont fire.

here is my story on how I also melted the insulator on one of my aquas. the first time, like you all, I set the mod down without locking the button, by the time I realized this, the mod was freaking hot and almost burnt my hand. anyways after it cooled,(which took a long time) I thought for sure everything was melted but to my surprise, nothing had happened at all. because there was still juice in the tank, it got hot (smoking hot) but even the wick was still perfect. well the second time I wasn't so lucky, this time it happened to my other aqua set up,. same dam thing but this time I was driving and set the mod down without locking. was talking on the phone and maybe 5 minutes later, I was saying to myself, " this new juice sure lingers", also said, " smells dam good too". maybe another minute passed when I looked over and seen it smoking! went to grab it and this time, I did burn my hand. I flung the mod, it broke the side window of my truck,, facepalm! grabbed a towel, removed the battery and said, you know what. this time the aqua ran out of juice in the process and not only burnt the little positive insulator, but the large one under the deck. I couldn't even take a pull on it because everything was melted shut. anyways I fixed it and still am vaping it now.

vapdivrr! It's your aqua that I melted... Haha :-\
I sent you an email, and I'm PMing you now.. Wondering if you could give me a few tips.

Everything will be fine if I can figure out how to get the big white delrin out of the base, and if I can figure out how to get the melted rayon out of the airholes. Didn't realize that rayon turned into resin when over heated.. Kind of scared of it now haha.

Anyway, I have the whole thing taken apart except for that block.. Does anyone know how it comes out? I've tried using a rod through the post hole to push it out.. No luck so far. I think that it's only held in by o-rings, but I'm not sure and I don't want to break it, as that seems to be the only part that isn't replaceable.

Once all of the non-metal pieces are removed, do you think it would be okay to boil/bake the base to re-heat and hopefully remove the rayon resin?

I don't mean to hijack this thread (even if it's 4 months old!), but I figure we can build aqua repair knowledge if anyone knows the answer. The google search has been fairly unhelpful on this one.

My story is really similar to yours, too haha. That second story resonates with my experience.

Everything was fine when I left the car, but apparently when I closed the door to grab a few things from the store, it was enough to wobble my mod into something that started the auto-fire process. The switch on that mod is super sensitive.. Got back to the car, and wondered to myself why everything smelled so strongly of a delicious bakery. Clicked in about 5 seconds that something was really off, and saw the smoking vapesox pouch in the cupholder... The aqua was a chimney. Got out of it with one burnt finger tip.. Quickly disassembled the mod with a towel and took the battery out to store in a safe location, i.e. under a crate in the parking lot. Everything was okay after 15 minutes when everything cooled, but the molten rayon is an issue now... And I had an 11 hour work day with no vape, and the terrible feeling of abusing a new atty. C'est la vie haha.

ok first the screws come off of positive pin then the positive little insulator needs to come out. this can be pried or unscrewed, when I melted my other aqua this insulator I was able to kind of unscrew out of the deck. now this positive poll is attached thru the large insulator and at this point you should be able push down on the pole and remove it. now you can either stick something down into the positive hole in deck to push the insulator down and out. could be the rayon but doubt it, it could be the actual delrin insulator that melted and oozed. attached to the positive pin is a couple tiny tiny orings, these stop juice from from leaking down onto the 510 connection and is included in the kit from fatdaddys. I know it was mine but it wasn't the one that I was talking about. the one I melted is number 0538 which is also the one I bored out.

I know :), I just meant that it is funny to see you here, because it's the aqua that you traded me that I managed to melt down my first week using it... First time I've ever auto-fired anything.. I learned a valuable lesson, as always ;) lucky thing I've got you to baby me back into tanks.

Thanks for all of the helpful info and entertaining stories as always, my friend. "This new juice sure lingers" is the best line from your story hahah. Scumbag brains.
