Ok here is the default, 510 bottom of the Aqua v2 - you can see the plastic insulator around the pin, and the base cap that screws on to give the negative of the 510:

This is the hybrid adapter, from your spares package.

To hybrid, you unscrew the 510 pin, then remove the plastic insulator from around it, and replace it with the hybrid adapter:

Then you screw onto the M20x1 mod.

Note I have never done this personally but I am 99% sure that's how it all works! The hybrid adapter is definitely vital.

Wow you got a terrible clone :) The SE will seem like a whole different class compared to that.

Maybe it stops leaking too, but I think more importantly it gives a much more stable, low-resistance connection. If only the hollow 510 connector was used to connect, the amount of metal in touch with the mod would be very small. And that's why the adapter is brass.

In fact I don't think it's meant to stop leaking. There are o-rings in the middle of the deck that are meant to do that, such that juice is never meant to be in the 510 area in the first place.

If you have leaking of juice into the 510 area, my guess is you're missing an o-ring that goes around the positive pin insulator. Even good clones have been known to be missing that. Given how bad that clone sounds, maybe you're even missing the o-ring around the plastic insulator in the airflow section :)

Thanks for all your help.. one thing I don't like about the SE is the top-filling screw bit that holds the drip tip. I've seen the new FX which has a similar function but with a low-profile hex screw. Hopefully Footoon will release a replacement using this design to scrape a further 5-6mm off the length of it, along with the extension for V2 tanks I've seen talked about :)

I already find that screw is too small! If it was even shorter, how would you open the top fill? You would have to find a drip tip tight enough to do so - which is already something I try and do in the SE because I find that nut hard to hold, but only a small number of tips are tight enough to do so. I think he should have made the drip tip adapter a tiny fraction smaller, so that normal o-rings were a little tight and tight o rings were super tight.

I didn't notice the low profile hex screw in the FX - does it require a tool to open then? Ugh :)

I guess you prize smallness :)

Even if it's not shorter (ok, slightly shorter :)), but is hex shaped, it would look better and be easier to open I imagine. Not a fan of the rounded rectangles carved into it.

Yeah, I have been happy for a while with this:

Which has been my first and only ecig, after frankly an unhealthy amount of browsing and research, but dipped my toe with the Aqua V2 clone, looking for something which can let me into the coils with a full tank of juice, and now I'm back to the research instead of doing my (ever-mounting) work :)

Yeah accessible deck is a really useful feature. Accessible deck and top fill are the two things I really want in every atomizer now. Though I'll give up top fill for some atomizers.

Yeah I guess a full hex would be easier to open - that's the problem I have with the SE, it's both short and mostly rounded, and I find I can't easily grip it and turn it. Hence preferring to do it via drip tip whenever possible.

If you want something really small - albeit with neither top fill nor accessible deck - I am very much enjoying the UD Goblin Mini. It's tiny! And great flavour too, as well as being either single or dual coil with a clever single-coil-adapter to allow use of single coil without any work (in the v2 and SE you can use a provided screw to close the second air hole, but not the juice channels - you have to do that manually with cotton.)

The Goblin Mini is cheap, too, so worth a go. I have a second on order from FastTech at only $24 - cheaper than many clones.

But you'll love the SE I'm sure, it's a lovely, pretty, very clever atomizer. All the features you could want while still being small.

I've not heard that mentioned, no. The only rumour I've heard was that he was going to bring out a bigger tank for it.

What you could do is buy an Aqua v2 authentic or clone and use the dripper top from that. Right now you can get a v2 authentic for cheaper than most clones, $19 from Local Vape: Footoon - Aqua V2 – Local Vape- Costa Mesa Vape Shop and Online Vape Shop

Which is so cheap it's a crime not to buy it. Thread discussing the offer, and the v2 in general, here: Authentic Aqua V2 for $25 shipped...

Although then of course you may as well just use the v2 as the dripper itself :) But the top cap would be swappable between the v2 and SE should you want to do that.

SE with v2 dripper cap:

Well i already have an aqua v2 but i haven't tried the dripper cap it on se. But isnt the bottom hole of the cap restricting the airflow of the se?

Yes, reducing it to the same level as it would be on the v2. But you've got the side airflow as well. Or you could Dremel the bottom hole on the dripper cap to make it wider I suppose.

@TheBloke Hey man, does the aqua se ever give you dry hits? It seems pretty appealing now that they have the whole juice control going on with it now. I really hate getting the wicking just right, but it seems fairly easy with this one and the juice control will hopefully make that more forgiving if it's not the best lol

Here's an Aqua SE in hybrid mode with the GP Paps V4 :)

The GP Paps V4 tube (at least the 18500 I have) is about 3mm too long. But thanks for some helpful Fasttech forum members, I was able to fix it using these springs:

My next task is to re-brush the metal on the Aqua SE in the same direction as on the Paps!
