Are 808D and 901 the same thing?

First off, Hello. I am new to vaping and ecf and would like to say thanks for any help ahead of time !! I am using a V4L Vapor-King (which I believe is an 808D battery). All they offer are cartomizers and I have decided I would like to go to an atomizer and drip my juice !! I was woundering if 901 atomizers would work with my batteries and passthrough or do I need some kind of adapter? Also, what resistance atomizers should I use? Thanks again !!

The threading on 808D cartomizers IS the same as the threading used on 901 atomizers. HOWEVER, it is important to remember that some 808D cartomizers do not have an airhole and may require an adapter to get airflow with some batteries/passthrus.

901 Battery to 808-D Atomizer adapter

As for resistance. The "normal" resistance for most atomizers is between 2.5-3.0 Ohms. If you use "low resistance" atomizers (in the range of 1.5-2.0 Ohm), it will draw more power from the battery (which is not recommended on cigarette-sized batteries) but produce thicker, warmer, vapor if you keep the atomizer wet with e-liquid. I strongly prefer low resistance atomizers or dual-coil cartomizers, but like everything else it is a matter of personal preference.

They are not the same thing

They have the same threading but different airflow, I think different voltage too. And 901 is a 3-piece, KR808D-1 is a 2 piece.

901 atomizers have a hole in their side to let in the air so they usually work fine on KR808D-1 w/o an adapter

However, 901 cartomizers may need an adapter to work on KR808D-1 (to allow enough air flow)

Note - if you plan to use a drip tip, dripping is not recommended on auto batteries - buy a manual battery

Also do not buy an LR (low resistance) 901 atomizer for a slim ecig. You need standard resistance

Yes that is is WAY too high. That must be for a 6 volt mod or something.

Go to LiteCigUSA.net or Liberty-Flights.com and get a standard resistance 901 atomizer and drip tip. The standard atomizer will probably be somewhere around 3 ohms (2.8-3.2)?

And note - some KR808D-1 manual still have an unblocked hole in the threaded end so don't go wild with the dripping.
