I have in my notes that the the AW IMR 18490 1100mAh battery should be able to handle 16.5 Amp. But I also noted that C rating was 8 Amp.

I arrived at this information using:

1. Max. continuous discharge rate of 15C (as was stated on both the Lighthound and RTDVapor websites.
2. Using a Battery Amp Limit Calculator

I put a note to myself to check with ECF member Baditude as I have never seen anyone else use this calculator and I have not done any more research to verify this information myself. And neither should you.

Update: See Bads post #5 below.

I have seen the AW 18490 IMR 1100mah battery listed as both 8 amp and 16.5 amp (continuous, not pulse).

Then I found IMR16340 / IMR14500 / IMR18350 / IMR18490 / IMR18650 / IMR26500 *Part 2* where Andrew Wan (AW) lists the specs for his batteries and states this battery has a 15C rating, which when you do the math works out to 16.5 amp maximum continuous discharge rating.

What's in a C Rating?

Thank you Bad! I can now update my notes regarding this battery. I just purchased one about a week ago (along with a 18350 AW IMR 3.7v 700mAh) for use in my Nemesis when I want to use something a little smaller.
