As far as I know, if you do not run them to hot, you are fine, they use pure nickel and other nickel alloys in applications to make many other things we ingest on a daily basis due to its non-reactive nature. If your temperature is to high, from what I've read when you reach 700 or higher Farenheit, some of the Nickel can enter the vapor aerosol, at about the 1000 to 1200F ranges is meltdown. There in comes the issue of if you do not trust it, and still want to use Temp Control, then there is Titanium Ti1 wire, though the mod would need to be set into Titanium mode, or adjust your TC mod 100F lower than what you would use Ni200.

The reason i am asking this is because was just watching grim green and he said he doesn't think nickal coils are safe. what do you think?
When he gets his physics degree, I might listen to his opinion...

But until then I'm just going to watch his videos and enjoy listening to him butcher words

Well considering up until recently Nichrome was one of the more common production coil materials, which is up to 80% nickel, and these coils weren't being run on temp controlled devices that limited the temps the coil could achieve (which is where the actual possible problems begin), it sounds like Grimm just needs some sensationalism to boost his channel views.

I remember about a year and a half to two years ago Nick put out a video saying he didn't believe in sub ohm vaping and that the fad would be in and out. Look at him today, people change their minds and the guy isn't exactly an "expert" when it comes to vaping, for the longest time he had someone else build his coils, even mentions it on some of his older videos.

That said, there is something to the Nickel in wire if the wire gets to a certain temperature, we can achieve that temperature with some of the high wattage builds we have today but the risk is in maintaining said temperature so unless you're out there 24/7 with your finger on the trigger it's unlikely to get you sick but prolonged use hasn't been tested yet so nobody really knows. If you're concerned just stick to kanthal and don'
t worry about it or use titanium for TC builds instead.
