Are the 510 Attys supposed to get sooo hot?

I just got these in. Aside from the tank cap being difficult to puncture and the slow juice flow, are they supposed to get so hot? I am getting vapor with a normal draw, but the atty stem is getting very hot. I tried it both on a USB passthrough and a 5V box mod.

do you mean the 510-t?

My 510 attys run much hotter than RN-4081, M401, Joye 306 or 510 dual coil cart.

the 510-t attys I had were pretty close to 2.2 ohm. At 5.0v, that's over 11 watts. At 3.7v, it's closer to 6 watts.

Yes. At 5.0v, they're going to get pretty hot.

P.S> for anyone thinking about these, the flavor is not very good and they work poorly in my opinion. The atomizer even with the metal poker still in work great, so I only paid a couple of buck fpr the temporary tank experience and ended up with a new atty to drip on.

I have tried these from another site and imho the sweet spot was true 3.7V. Taste was ok. Th ok. Vapor ok. Anything higher just seemed to burn or muffle the flavor. My real problem with them was the draw. It starts out tight and only gets tighter. After pulling the needle plate and cleaning, i would get a day or less and it would get tight again. Just not what I am willing to deal with.

Maybe im biased. After the 510-t I tried the Maxi RS with dual coil cart. Have not put it down. Hell some mornings i wake up with it next to my pillow.
