Are there any face eVics out there?

The reason I ask is on a few youtube reviews I have watched the screen on the eVic is clear and bright, but the one I just go it is a very dim screen and kinda hard to see.

It all works fine, and I can connect it to my computer for all the info.
Has anyone had this problem with a dim screen?

It's nice and bright indoors, but it's harder to see outside. In direct sunlight, it's impossible to read.
On the flip side once you get it set where you want it, you really don't need the display. I don't miss it when I'm vaping outside.

Check the serial number on the box against the website. It should have a scratch off portion to verify if its real.

It had already been taken off the bottom of the box, yu could see where it had been pulled off though.

As long as the number is still there. Then make sure the number in the evic software is the same. The joye tech website has a good way to show you how to do it.

evic uses a tiny LCD display. This why it is more difficult to see in Daylight. Ever carry a laptop outside?

The OLED is hard to read in direct sunlight, but I think the trade off would be a bright LCD or OLED that is way too bright indoors, where I do 90% of my vaping. I'll take the former.
Maybe one day they'll have one with an ambient light sensor...

I think the camera flash and/or the camera settings make it look brighter. I've noticed that same thing with pics of it, but in person, it is not.

It is not damaged, perfect working order.

I was just new to the eVic stuff a few days ago but all is fine now.

You can go into the menu select device option then select device ID and that may be verifiable through Joyetech. I'm not sure though. I'll test it out and report back.

If it's the same number that shows up in MVR, then no.
