The two shops here in town are part of larger local chain stores; each has a different "feel" to them. One is more modern, nicer displays, but has limited product selection; the other has more product selection but is kind of dumpy/frumpy. But for either of them, the clientele I've witnessed being in them has been the 30+ crowd. None of the Clowd Clownz. Mostly blue collar types, and a lot of women.

I think we have gone fully off topic

Great topic. This has been boiling my blood more than usual lately. It's become clear that nearly all reviewers simply can't be trusted to do the very thing they claim to- give an honest objective review. I think the companies are part to blame, and all that absolute power corrupts absolutely applies to the reviewers. It's just such a shame.

The thing that worries me even more than the outright shadiness of money exchanging hands- are the subtle ways companies are nudging reviewers. Anyone notice how all of the big reviewers got personalized Coolfire IV's with their channel branding? Yup, just a thank you to them for all they do...harmless on the surface. But I have no doubt this is only the start. I think most of them don't realize how effective the psychology of this is, and that Jedi Mind trickery is being used on them in cases like this.

Todd- my deep thanks for all that you do as well. Please continue to call out things like this; this hobby puts us as consumers in quite the pinch. I can't even calculate how much I've spent on junk devices/tanks with nearly all positive reviews.

If the review begins with an Ad then opens to the sound of aided care sales person from the past fast talking while home made visual effects flash i loss both interest and trust with any reviewer and avoid them in the future.
I will look at vids that just provide an overview of operation, then I come here to read what actual users say.

If the video is hosted on YouTube, chances are the person who uploaded it did not place the ad.

Just recently I had to sit through an ad to watch a video, that my hubby put up there, of our grandkids. Surprised him and made him say a few choice words against YouTube. I guess YouTube needs the revenue.

Another problem I've had (maybe I'm a prude) is with vulgarity and Sex jokes. Watched a few vape shows on you tube and it always seems to devolve into the lowest of low brow humor. I like a good laugh as much as the next guy but sometimes I feel that the crassness is interjected to cover for lack of content.

The best of the best don't use cheap filler tactics and will call it as they see it even if they know the manufacturers personally. Ala Busardo/Evolv. Sadly the upcoming crop of you tubers seem to lack these characteristics.

But every once in a while a really decent you tuber appears on the horizon. I recently found this guy cause he was invited on Dinos VP live radio show. He's had a lot of experience because he has a channel on Fish aquariums so his videos are very well done and he has absolutely the BEST intro visuals of anyone. Take a minute to listen to the video that got him invited onto the show. It's encouraging new vapers to not be turned off by the "Vape Bros" that might be hanging out at their local vape shop.

I see this has gone off topic a bit rofl.

As far as the question OP originally asked I think for the most part they all are except for a couple that can be bought. And we know who they are without saying. Most gear that is out right now is very, very good. The gap between China and the high end modders is pretty small these days. It is easy to get a quality vape on not allot of money.

^^^^This exactly. Public perception is important, especially for those looking to first start vaping. Even many of the more popular reviewers are constantly dropping the "F" bomb during their reviews. I'm not a prude, and I certainly do not offend easily, but I think the language can definately add to that less than favorable perception by many.

Just AdBlock? You can still add the following at least: AdBlockPlus, muBlock, NoScript, and EFF Badger.

Honestly, I sit in front of a bank of computers at work, so at home I doubt I'm on more than two hours a week, and it's just for email and YouTube, so AdBlock does the trick for me. Plus my phone has taken over like 95% of Internet duty for me.

I agree. Although the argument can be made that if you don't like it, you shouldn't watch, I think that these folks are presenting the face of vaping to the public at large, whether or not they want to or think they are.

Normally I wouldn't really care, but since vaping is becoming such a hot-button topic, people other than vapers are looking into it.

Excellent! Typically you cannot beat the bandwidth of a business.

You would think - sadly, it's an old T1 line with a LOT of network traffic back and forth to corporate, 24/7. Sometimes I can't even get YouTube videos to play at 240p without a LOT of buffering.
