On the Anderson TV show "What Type of Eater Are You" they did an experiment with the audience to see who were supertasters. Very interesting and an explanation of why we all taste juice differently. Apparently there are no shows archived but a different test is online.

On the show they gave the audience a piece of paper with a dot of flavor on it. Some people tasted a horrible bitter taste and some didn't taste anything. Then there were the variations in between. It was an interesting show and answered many of my questions about taste buds. When I first started vaping I lost all sense of taste for several months. My taste buds were raised and almost looked inflamed. I think it explains why I need my flavoring on the high end in order to taste anything.

We actually did this in my high school biology class one thousand years ago, and I recall I was a taster. That's why I'm investigating DIY only a month after I began vaping....

Being a taster drives my husband crazy!


I like to vape while I tinker, not tinker in order to vape.

I didn't do the test but I know that one of the criteria is things like cucumbers and broccoli taste extremely bitter. I had that affliction until I was about 20.
