Because I eat clean, I am a hyper-sensitive taster in that I can taste wheter or not a dish uses margine or butter, msg or salt, and a few other subtleties that a lot of others can't taste. When I ate like a garbage disposal, I couldn't tell the differnce in much. Hell, I have taken tests that showed that I can discern the difference between spring water and filtered water. Of course, all of that ability and a quarter can buy a gumball!

I suspect I am, or I am just an extremely picky eater. I have been eating my vegetables since adulthood(been over a decade) and still have to choke them down, no matter how they're made/dressed. I also will not drink coffee or tea, at all.

Sounds like a sensitivity to all things bitter! Have you ever heard of or tried flavor tripping? Try to get a hold of some Miraculin berries, or Miracle fruit. The easiest way to take it is through the extract made into lozenges. I have a few around here somewhere...Anyway, it is pretty cool. The berry grows in certain parts of Africa and once taken and allowed to set on the tongue, it transforms sour/bitter foods to sweet(er) versions. I mean the foods will still be somewhat bitter, but I was able to eat a lemon and a lime as if they were oranges. I also drank a couple shots of apple cider vinegar--that really was a trip! I can't remember how long it lasted, maybe 45 mins or so, but you will know when it wears off. It unfortunately wore off mid lime...OMG! Limes are effing tart! hahahahaha

Miracle Berry or Miraculin Lozenges.

It is best, once again, to get the tablets or lozenges because the berry has to travel very far and it is highly perishable. It requires strict climate to grow, so the tabs are safe and they last a long time.

Word to the wise: Don't drink beer while flavor tripping! Guinness tasted like a sweet chocolate malt...yuck!
