Whatever :facepalm::D
Years ago I bought a Ford pickup. It was faded red with one green door and cancer down the right side of the bed. I pulled up in my wife's cousins' yard and everybody ran out checkin it out, Wow, take me for a ride! Take me to the store! Cool! Whereja get it? It was high end to them. I'm just glad the "Bride" don't read my posts

What? You don't want to talk about gophers for a while? :)

Actually I was responding to the .097, that it rounded to .1 not 1... but I saw it had already been covered, and since I know absolutely nothing about TC mods, figured it was better to disengage. :D Sure is a nice looking mod though... as well it ought to be, for that price. :D

Since most of the high end mod makers are going belly up because they can't compete with the $20 junk from China I guess $200'ish is the new high end. Soon they to will go belly up and the new high end after that will be $100.

Personally I'd rather spend a little extra to get a quality made deice that will last and last and last and one that I don't have to worry will go kaboom when it's stuck in my face..
[/rant]

Any now back to the regularly scheduled gopher programming :p

I have a Vapor Shark rDNA40 that sells for $190 and I consider it mid level.

Interesting how we have different perceptions on what high end is.. To me, the SX Mini and the VS rDNA are mid level device but to each their own.. :)
I have one too and consider it maybe mid level if I compare it to the SX:2c: :)

Cool.. I liked the VS better, which is why I kept it and gave the SX away..

To me, they were similar but I liked the feel of the VS better.

I'm not really into the DNA's and will probably end up getting rid of the VS as well at some point..

Thanks. It was a nice gift. It works great in TC mode. I ran a wick completely dry at .09 ohms and never got the slightest burnt taste. Took it apart to inspect it and the wick was clean as could be. :) I think as far as safety, it's a great way to prevent harmful fumes from wicks and juices being burned at high temps plus it saves on builds. :)

I agree, I actually think it's a wonderful idea... but the prices will have to drop a LOT for me to be able to participate in it. And I'm not sure how I feel about using nickel wire... I heard somewhere that nickel can cause nausea, which makes it an automatic "don't go there" for me.. and also that nickel is one of the most common allergens among metals -- and I have a lot of allergies, so I give the stinkeye to anything that could be allergenic. I think the technology has potential, which is largely unrealized... yet.

OK so can anyone give me a list of 1 to 3, or 1 to 5, of their favorite RDAs / RTAs for tootle puffers please? Max flavor, no big clouds needed, absolutely no lung hits just M2L.

Thanks :)

I agree, it's in it's infancy now. Titanium wire also works. It is my opinion, bein a welder, that any heated metal that causes nausea or allergic reactions is hazardous to breathe on a continued basis or in a high enough dose. I know you've heard it before, but actually the SX Mini costs no more than 3 or 4 cartons of cigs. If TC devices prove to be a lot safer then that price will be well worth it. Of course, I never bought 4 cartons of cigs at one time either...

Can I ask a stupid question?

Why are we discussing sub ohm & high wattage mods in a Tootle puffer thread???????
Yes........................................

Sorry if it bothered you. I don't know how it got started, how it does or doesn't apply is subjective

The last 5 yrs I smoked, I never even bought a whole carton at once -- buying 2 pks at Walgreens, the per-pk "2-fer" price was actually cheaper, per pk, than buying a carton, and paying over $50 for a carton offended me anyway.

If the prices on TC mods came down 50%, I might put it in the "save up for" category -- for something that useful, I don't think $100 would be unreasonable, even for a poor penny-pincher like me. But $200 for ANYTHING AT ALL is really out of the question, unless, as I said, we happened to win the lottery. When our truck needed a new thermostat ($235), we had to wait 6 months to get it, one of the off-months we didn't have to pay Geico (only pay 4 out of every 6 months, so we get 2 months off, twice a year).

I wouldn't necessarily lump TC in with the prior thinking on sub ohm, and just because it is high watt doesn't mean everyone uses it at those watts...I mean, really?

Another benefit of spreading manure is gophers hate digging through it. And anything those straight from the depths of hell critters hate, I like

Nice to hear on the gopher dont like part, we dont have a lot of them but it is so frustrating to watch a plant disappear into the ground before your eyes after you started it from seed and nurtured it to the point where it was taking hold. The Mrs has used castor oil on cotton balls and been fairly successful in driving them off.

Nice to see Rolygate here, Tootle Puffing needs a strong backing to help vaping along to the masses of smokers. The sub ohming and high powered stuff that gets so much press is fine for someone who has mastered vaping or even the person who is willing to dig and learn but for the average Joe Smoker who wants to quit Tootlin needs to be there as an option.
