Well, this tootle puffer is happy to report that I have [temporarily] satisfied my shinyitis, so yesterday we drove out to Microcenter and got me an external CD/DVD read/write/rewrite for my new PC, since it doesn't have an internal optical drive. Apparently they do make them very low profile for laptops, but they chomp thru the laptop's battery life if you need to use it unplugged, so I got the external. Yay!
