Tuxie slinks along like she's trying to dustmop the floor with her belly, and runs to hide under my husband's bed.

Lawrenceville GA seems to have survived the recent onslaught -- the radar was horrendous, showing those spots of livid red and purple RIGHT WHERE I LIVE! I just decided I like my new computer too much to risk it to lightening. I tried to follow the weather on theweatherchannel, but they're in the midst of "Tornado Alley", gee that's encouraging!

The rain here in Ohio has been crazy too! My entire backyard flooded, it is still a lake and plants dirt and all have been washed out of their pots too. In my 14 years of living in this house that has never happened but then I don't remember ever having an extremely heavy downpour of rain for almost 2 full days straight with no breaks before.

We had some storms last evening. My Pippid (Part Pit, Part Stupid) shakes violently and drools and paces. There's no consoling 75 lbs of "freaked out". NOTHING works - benadryl makes her drool more, thunder cape has no effect, herbal - nope. Doggy xanax just zones her out and makes her drool. Heaven help us on 4th of July

She burst into my vape cave yesterday (it doubles as the cat's room, and because "Big Dumb Dog" likes kitty tootsie rolls, she's not allowed in the room.) It was hell dragging her out so I could mix juice in peace. Would love to put her in some form of stasis for the next couple of months.....

My little dude was so chill about thunderstorms and fireworks. We watched many a gullywash from this cosy spot.

The bird I have now, though, I'm afraid she's gonna hurt herself one of these days as much as she freaks out.

I am lucky my little pom Ike doesn't seem to mind loud noises at all but since the back is flooded he has to do all his business on the enclosed porch which he is hating.
