Well, it seems not to be heading straight for us, which is a good thing; they're experiencing flooding along Level Creek, about 8 miles north of here. The major roads that cross Level Creek are set fairly high above a deep chasm, but one road goes over it pretty low, where the creek is pretty small, so it has a very small and not very deep channel... if it rises above that channel, it's gonna flood all the lawns, and probably flood the road too.

I am glad to hear it is not headed straight for you Andria! We have had a break for a few hours here but it is suppose to start up again any time now, a lot of flooding everywhere with flood warnings until 10pm or so. :(

Yikes, the very thought of flooding in Ohio is fearsome, most of it is so low-lying and flat -- corn and soybeans, as far as the eye can see! :D

My husband and i were living just north of Pontiac, MI when we got married; we drove down to Toledo because of their far-more-sane requirements for marriage, and on the way back, driving up I-75 at 80 mph, ran into the hardest rain I have ever seen -- couldn't even see the front of the car! But everyone kept whizzing along, nevermind the weather! We had an old beater of a car, and it was raining INSIDE the car nearly as hard as outside it!

That's the truth! I'm in the Toledo area we have had over 5 inches in the past 48 and the flooding is bad, thankfully not as bad as some of the other areas I have seen. It's been really crazy though no where for the water to run off into the storm drains are still trying to catch up.

It dropped quickly from the 80's yesterday down into the 50's today I am surprised did not have any tornado activity.

Yeah, and right there at the top of Ohio/bottom of MI, Lake Erie isn't far at all... that's truly scary!

I'm just a bit north of you in Oakland County, Michigan (a bit south of Andria's old stomping grounds) and we've had about three inches between yesterday afternoon and right now. The temperature is 49 degrees and the wind is blowing -- it feels like November. It should be ILLEGAL for this to happen with June only a day away! And on the WEEKEND every time?!?!?!

We lived in Oakland county for a couple years -- our son was born in Crittenton, over in Rochester Hills. :D But, he's lived down here since he was 2, so he doesn't have even a trace of a MI accent -- all GA! :D

When my brain starts clinking from the coffee I'm drinking, it appears that I'm thinking but the truth is that I'm only blinking.

And da job be stinking.
hehehe

I have no clue why hiccups for god's sake, before I'm even out of bed, but at least the tsp of honey still works very well to banish them.
I get the hiccups a lot. My ex talked me into a spoonful of sugar ONE time, will never do that again.....but honey would be easier. I usually hold my breath, but when they get real intense, I have to do it a lot and it takes a long time.

Well, I guess shopping is out, for today; that month of rain is now in the process of descending. And my little scaredy-cat is hiding under my husband's bed, from the thunderbooms. :D

Glad the other one isn't heading straight for you. Hope all who are getting clobbered stay safe. We're finally done with most of the rain for now. Thank God!! We had right at 3 weeks of rain at least once a day if not more every day. Sooooooo glad we're getting a break now.

For hiccups I hold a small bag of ice on my neck to freeze the nerve that causes them. It works every time. I've even grabbed a bag of frozen veggies from the freezer to stop them when I was in a hurry.

I paid my membership fees before we changed to this comedy of errors. They have gotten their last dues from me and quite a few others that have always paid them. They don't care though because they sold us all out for the commercial interests just like every other ecig forum has done.
