Florida summers are the pits. Temps can be triple diget, then the heat index, then it rains and usually gets even more humid! You walk outside and it takes your breath away. If you have to drive somewhere, you get where you are going by the time the car cools off, then you do your thing, get back in the car, and it is like you never ran the air conditioner!

You just described Tx all year around. Lucky you Fl has rain. Tx has none during summer months. Zero ! I visit Fl in 96, loved the beaches there.

I'll have to second clnire on this one. I was stationed in the swamps of Georgia for 7 years. 95 degrees and 95% humidity.

I much prefer the 40-80% average humidity here, even with the mad streaks of 100+ degree days.

Some day when I have more time and inclination, I'll share my short tale of acclimatization while in the Middle East...

I tried a different drip tip tonight. One of the long bent ones from fasttech, I think the way it made me pucker differently to seal it brought my tongue to a different spot for a little more flavor.

I'm starting to get scared, between all this talk about heat, and my wife saying her vacation got approved. Makes me regret giving the okay for a trip to North Carolina in 2 weeks.
