Only the joyetech VT 60 as far as I know and that is only a fraction of a second before it reaches temp. With TC you are vaping to a preset temperature. You can meet and exceed those temps even with a tootle puffer rig. TC is not just for "cloud chasers". I use it for consistent flavor and vape production. I think it uses juice more efficiently also. No possibility of dry hits is a bonus.

I'm getting better flavor and vapor production on the Subox than the VT at this point. (with 1.6ohm coil at 12.5 Watts on the Kanger). But you're right - it uses more juice.

This afternoon a strange thing happened. I was tootling along on my merry way and I happened upon a vapor shop. Upon entering, a lovely young lady with a mechanical power-supply and a dripper spotted me. She looked at my provari with kayfun setup and offered for me to try the other . This seemed like an amicable exchange so I agreed. I would compare the experience to drinking from a fire hose...She on the other hand marveled at the quality and flavor of a 2ohm contact coil at 8.5W.

Needless to say I converted this hooligan toot sweet.

Now if you will excuse me I have some leisurely vaping to attend to.

Sincerely,
Tootle Vapor Man

omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where have you been? welcome back, we missed you!

So far I'm only a spectator in all these TC issues, but I sure love the looks of that SX Mini. Can't wait till the prices really hit bottom!

it surely is good to see you!

It is good to see you as well. I have some catching up to do.

As soon as I got back to the States I purchased a P3Ti to replace my provari 2 which has worked without a hitch for the last three years. It deserves the rest.

No, the Zmax's only go to 15w. You can stack 18350s, but all that does is give you longer battery life. I *think* with stacked '350s, if you adjust voltage up to the max, it might put you just a smidge over 15w, but not a great deal. EDIT: I just checked, and if you set it at the max 6v, then yes, it's entirely possible to go over 15w, depending on the resistance -- but it would only be to the limit of the batteries, getting into the amps, calculations for which I am not gifted enough to even know how to set up the equation.

ETA: and the ONLY way to tell, is by the menu selections -- if there's an extra one, it's a v5. There is nothing else about them to differentiate them.

Like the VAMO chipset, the ZMAX regulates up to 15W in VW mode regardless of battery configuration. In VV mode, if you stack 18350s, it will provide a full 6V @ 1.2Ω, providing 30W at its 5A maximum.

If you want TC, my recommendation would be the SX Mini M. It functions great in both modes and it's upgradeable. They already had an upgrade that fixed some minor issues. They are reported to be offering an online upgrade to Titanium mode next month. It has a 12 month warranty and they have even replaced quite a few just because of a paint problem. I got vapemail, 4 HBs and 2 bottles of juice from MyVapeJuice. The top popped off the "Nemo" and 25 mils of juice (floor, keyboard, screen and lap). The tops come off super easy when you squeeze the bottle.

These are the ones I meant... they don't look like the one in your pic, which looks like it would be too wide to fit my hand comfortably.

I like the rose/silver, naturally. :D Too bad they don't have rose/black, that would really be sharp!

Next time just add cold water (carefully) to the hot pan to de-glaze it and cleanup is a snap.

That's a REO in the pic. My SX is black, or used to be. I haven't got it replaced under warranty yet.
