I saved that chart somewhere before, but couldn't find it today... thanks for reposting it, however, is there something wrong with it? Everyone's talking about 8 and 9 watts (or Rich with 13), and those are mostly (the 9s and above) in the red "too HOT" zone. And Robert thinks the safe (green) zone should be even narrower? I feel like I'm missing something. If it's something stupidly simple, just tell me to ask Rich. I'm sure he'll explain it to me, and I hate wasting your time 'splaining stuff that should be painfully obvious.
I don't (yet) want to get into building coils and all that, I just want to find a good combination of store-bought coils and a battery. I think, after reading what Linda said, that maybe I just need slightly bigger airholes. It could be THAT simple! This thing has a pretty tight draw on it, but since it's so close to the stinkies, I never really gave it any thought. Rich told me more air would probably make the flavors taste a bit better, PLUS not gunk my coils up so fast. Right now, this strawberry juice I made, which I'm using constantly right now, gunks my coil up in much less than a day. The brownie stuff does the same thing, but it's dark, so I'd expect it from that, but the strawberry is almost clear. I put a clean coil in there in the morning, and by afternoon, I'm having trouble with it and have to change out for a new one. I'm cleaning and dry burning my coils and wicks right now, so it's no big deal, but if I was having to BUY these things at the rate I'm going through them, we could never afford it. It would end up being more expensive than the smokes were.
Rich has a 1/16" drill bit, so I guess that will be the first thing we try. I just hope it works and I don't end up screwing up a perfectly good tank base. Well, if it does, I'm sure someone sells those, right?
