That's the size I got.... They only had one box of rayon in stock so my options were limited to that or none :p
Enough rayon to wick for life :D

The Sallys site had a small package on it. Can't you order that?

But the burn taste has scared me off of it. No Tampon wicks for me.

but another question. For those tootles using rayon wichs. Are the twisted or braided ones best for tootle puffing? I am currently using the twisted ones.

Rayon is perfect for a tootle puffer set up :p
Not much burning going on at 10 watts :p

You are, I think. :D You use cartotanks, right? Generally it's those of us who vape at lower wattages, and/or higher resistance, and/or higher PG, and don't create our own weather. :D

And damn proud of it!!!!!! :D :thumb:

Actually, to be honest..... I sold the ProVari and retired the carto tanks. I've been using Atlantis and Melo tanks on my iStick 30, a K-101, and an IPV2X. But by no means am I a cloud chaser. I've got RDA's down too, but I rarely use my dripper.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I've also been using a Nautilus mini with my other iStick 20. So... no, I can't say I'm a tootle puffer. Not that I particularly like that word combination. It reminds me of puffing on farts.

the funny thing about wicking material ... I doubt anyone has ever gone through their first whole package of wicking material.

Wicking is so cheap, whether it be cotton balls, Rayon, or Japanese cotton ... even that first guy who discovered wicking with cotton years ago ... he's not even half way through his first $4 bag

Yes, I've never had a burnt hit or a dry hit using rayon. In fact, it seems to wick better than anything else I've tried. I was using JOC to that point. I think the taste I get with rayon beats everything else I've tried. I also think it's easier to wick with rayon than cotton - a lot less fussy. I think everyone should try it. And you can do it pretty cheaply. Just take a deep breath and buy a small package of Kotex. :D

Pretty sure the small pkg is actually just cotton, not rayon.

But I've never seen rayon braided or twisted; it's just a long, long strand, like a straight (not braided or twisted) rope -- apparently they use it around the neck of the plastic aprons to keep chemicals from running/dripping down to your clothes.

Rayon really does wick faster then cotton, less likely to get dry hits. The secret to rayon is it doesn't expand like cotton when saturated, so you pack the coil tighter...if you feel like you are using too much, you probably have it right :p
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

I thought this too... but that tight coil-packing is what gave me those ghastly dry hits.

When I first got my Veritas, I tried out a single-vertical coil right away, thinking rayon would be perfect, it wicks so well. But even without a dry hit... all I can taste is the rayon. 8-o

I've now got a horizontal coil in my Veritas, wicked with KGD, just waiting for something to vape in it... but the recipe I've been working on needs the Inawera peach I recently ordered from BCV... which the Durham PO has apparently lost; no tracking activity since 4/15 when it was accepted at Durham. Guess I need to call BCV tomorrow and see if they can find it, or light a fire under the Durham PO, or something.

I use hemp fiber in my protank builds cause with the rayon I got a tank vaped and the second tank it became harder to draw and vape quality suffered. It happened over and over again with different builds. I still don't know the reasoning behind it. Rayon in my kayfun is amazing. I had to buy the 500' box so I got my fair share of lifetimes of rayon.
Mildly overstuffing the coil is the secret with rayon then removing some of the bulk from the tails. I use a 3mm 1.2ohm coil in my kayfuns and have never suffered a dry hit nor any sort of wicking issues. You also get several more vaping days off of rayon compared to cotton before coil pooping out.
