You will find you get even more life out of the 2200 mah li-pol in the istick then you do out of any 18650.... You will probably see 2+ days

Well, that's excellent news! But I wonder why? Because of that "voltage drop" thing in mods with removable batteries? Honestly I don't really understand what that's about, my understanding of electrical jargon is growing somewhat, thanks to vaping, but still barely past "nonexistent". But that's interesting about the same mAh rating giving much better life in the iStick... kind of thing that makes me go "hmmmmm"... ;)

In all my years (54 of um) I have never seen a dual tank single housing water heater, but that doesn't by any means mean that varmint doesn't exist. You have the cat dying and even a quick googling provides nothing to cure his curiosity. :(
They have dual elements not dual tanks. :) More efficient like a dual coil atty.. not really

Oh, B.T.W....

Tootling Hoosiers:

HB 1432, which would destroy the vapor industry in Indiana and essentially ban the sale of e-liquids produced out-of-state, is expected to be transmitted to Governor Pence’s office this week. It is of critical importance that ALL vapers, their friends, and family members take this opportunity to contact the Governor and respectfully insist that he VETO this bill.

Veto HB 1432 - Send an Email

Oh yeah, worked on a MANY of that type and have even seen two tank systems where one tank fed the other but never a single housing dual tank heater :)

Since we're on heaters, I use a tankless electric whole house but it ain't very economical. I had two run to 60a circuits for the dual heaters. :)

Well dang it, I realize I started the OT jabber about water heaters, but I'm trying to drag it back, I really am... Still interested in knowing the why that a 2200 mAh in the iStick will last longer than a 2000/2250 mAh 18650.

Anybody?

Andria

First off, that's not specific enough. The iStick has a regulation circuit in it to regulate the voltage. the "just a battery" (Meaning a mech?) doesn't. So it has a voltage curve. Secondly, you may quit using the mech faster than you do the iStick, as it MAY boost too (IDK that one...anyone?). This is all assuming the same topper is used.

P.S. (reading back more)

If you mean this
You will find you get even more life out of the 2200 mah li-pol in the istick then you do out of any 18650.... You will probably see 2+ days

It's because Li-pol is more energy dense than IMR (general rule).

So are you sure the 18650 was 2200ish mAh?

My last post on this I promise even if I have to sit on my hands. They are a wash for most unless you live in colder climes where you are keeping the water hot all day instead of just when needed. The high amp draw to create the water on demand is considerable but when averaged out over the draw a standard tank uses to maintain the temp all day it can prove to be a savings in some instances.

Nah, mainly I use my sigelei zmax. I do have a couple mechs, but I don't use them very often, so I just use 18350 or 18500 batteries in them, with Kicks. In the sigelei zmax, I get just about a full day from either the 2000 or the 2250, give or take an hour or two, dependent on how much I vaped that day, and how many other devices may have been used.

I have used LI-PO's in my model airplanes for years and it seems they have a more honest rating than the batteries used for vaping in terms or rated capacity. my 25R's are only good for about 1600ma before they need recharging even though they are rated for much more.I was not aware that SUB OHMERs had such derogatory names for the rest of us.are they putting testosterone or other steroids in their juice to make them act like high school jocks? I enjoy my pro tanks and run 1.5 ohms in my RDAs so I guess im a "tootle puffer" but I enjoy vaping and have been tobacco free for 4 month now and I think this is why most people vape.

This is correct...... Two 10 gauge lines was how we ran ours

but But BUT think how long that coil would last! Only thing is you would need to have the fire dept. on standby when you dry burn it!

They have 2 elements but only one works at a time.

Virtually all tank dual element water heaters sold in the usa are one tank with 2 elements and only one element works at a time. I am trained on this subject.
