I've bought a few things from craigslist ads but would never sell anything.

I did put an ad in once to give away some concrete tree rings. One lady wanted me to deliver them to her. o_O Cancelled the ad, put them in the driveway with a "free" sign and they were gone the next day.

I have always been amazed at that. My daughter can put the most worthless junk out front in the morning and it is gone before lunch.

I was getting the vape mail bug so ordered 4 18650 batteries from RTD Saturday morning. They got here Monday noon. I was amazed at how quickly a package can move through the system sometimes. I didn't even have a chance to check the tracking number :D

I've never posted anything for sale on Craig's list, but back in 2000 I ran a newspaper ad to sell my two year old Jeep Grand Cherokee and the guy that responded asked me to meet him at a food mart/service station where the lights were bright enough to check it over at night. During the test drive one of them mentioned that they were both DEA agents, so I didn't have to worry about them hijacking the car. I told him I brought the 5 cell tactical flashlight for protection. I should have brought the 9mm.

The test drive went fine, but my price was a little more than they wanted to pay. I sold it later to a grandpa who bought it for his grandson to drive to college.

Nowadays, I think I'd just make the drive and sell a car to CarMax for Kelly Blue Book prices. I just traded my 2013 Ram Big Horn for a 2017 Ram Laramie LongHorn and got KBB trade-in the the 2013. I won't be selling vehicles through newspaper ads anymore.

I refuse to purchase cars at a car lot, and have always purchased through individuals via newspaper ads.. there is not the mark up with an individual there is with car lots, rather cut out the middle man.

I don't test drive cars without having cash in hand,(in case I decide to buy, I can) so perhaps it's dangerous I don't know but I've never had a problem.

Economically it works, getting you a better deal and I wish you well carrying that cash.

I got the LG 18650HG2 3000mAh 20a. I have been using my original ones for close to a year so figured I would get 4 more to replace them if they ever start showing signs of needing to be replaced.

There is no way I'd deal with the idiots around here.
I've had pretty good luck buying and selling around here, but i always talk to the person on the phone and kinda feel them out a bit first,if i get even the slightest uneasy feeling it's a no go.A few years ago,my son listed a game system on there, and he got screwed good.He had the guy come to my house at close to midnight, which i was very unhappy about to start with, but i was already in bed,so didn't know it at the time.A few minutes later he woke me up and asked me to look at the money because something didn't seem right. This guy gave him 2 of the worst counterfeit $100 bills i have ever seen, they were printed on regular printer paper, cut crooked, and both were printed from the same bill haha.Sad thing is,it took my son about 20 minutes after the guy left to realize it,i still wish i had been awake, the guy would not have gotten out the door.

I lost, demolished, sold and gave away tons of vapegear during my vaping carreer, but i've also been stocking up for the past 2 years, which resulted in:
  • 5 liters of 48mg nic
  • 10 liters of VG
  • 10 liters of PG
  • 4 Subtank Minis, 4 spare bases, 4 spare RBAs
  • 4 Toptank Minis, 4 spare bases, 4 spare RBAs
  • 6 Aromamizers
  • 3 Boreases
  • 3 Merlins
  • 4 Serpents (1x v1, 2x SMM, 1x mini)
  • 2 Griffins
  • 3 Kayfun 5s
  • 2 Skylines (so far)
  • 8 RDAs (Hadaly, Goon, Hobo, Velocity)
  • 2 iStick 60s
  • 4 iStick Picos
  • 2 Smoant Battlestars
  • 2 Smoant Charons
  • 2 SMPLs
  • 2 Noisy Crickets
  • Several chargers and 20 batteries
  • Tons of spare glasses for all tanks
  • Huge amount of o-rings in any size
  • Thousands of screws in various sizes
  • Probably some tanks and mods i forgot to mention
  • Boxes full of tools, wick and wires
  • 40 to 50 flavouring concentrates
  • Bottles and jars in any colour, material and size
  • Scales, syringes, measuring glasses etc
  • Distrustfulness by my girlfriend, every time any parcel delivery service is anywhere near our doorbell
Maybe i still need a few Smoant Rabox and Voopoo Alpha One mods. But i'm not too sure about stocking up on regulated mods since most will probably die anyway within 10 years, even if you don't use them. Luckily for me they won't last long when i do use them.

And yes, considering a single tank will easily last 4 to 5 years under normal use, i'm really betting on a significant increase in life expectancy in the next few decades.

We changed to FB buy/selling because of the crime with Craigslist

I meet in the parking lot of the county 911 Center. There are cameras all over and generally a couple of cops inside completing reports. If someone won't meet there, no deal.

I ended up chickening out and never pursued buying off of CL. Better to be safe than sorry I guess

While iStick Picos are a great vape, they are also likely to come apart after a year of daily use. The Pico 75W I've used the most started lifting the bottom cover as I replaced the battery and screwed in the battery cap. The problem is pressure from the battery spring on the composite body. The quick fix is a tiny rolled up strip of paper in each of the screw holes. Cut it flush and replace the screw and all is well again. You'll need a tiny T5 Torx bit.

The alternative and correct fix requires a slightly larger screw and probably a drill to chase the holes to fit. Since the holes are really close to the edge, drilling would probably create problems. I like my "field repair" method. If it breaks again it gets a new one rolled in and the old one becomes a discard.

Since Pico 75's are available on sale for $20 something it's not a bad idea to have several in your deeming backup stock.

Somewhere out there
Hi fellow preppers :) I have a question, who has used a solar charger battery pack to charge vape gear? I use Provari Radius and wondering if it is even possible to charge it with a solar charged battery pack?? I also have other passthru/s for in a pinch and cartos, but wondering if anyone has tried it? With all these hurricanes, fires and threats of electric grid shut downs, I would like to be covered just in case. Any bug out experience with using vape gear?? Thanks!

Isn't it @sofarsogood that went off the grid and was using solar powered chargers to recharge his 18650? Or am I remembering wrong (entirely possible)?

This question reminds me I need to add at least one of those big ole 10k mah or larger rechargable battery packs to my amazon cart for my next order.
