Somewhere out there
I was reading some of this, so now it is low watts and fat coils are better?
Ok read some more, Temp control mode fixes the problem it seems. I have several Pico's, do you need SS wire to use TC? Learning curve here! LOL

You're welcome! Glad it went through for you a little later so you could get what you wanted and save some $$.

I decided to get more of the Samsung, too, since the BOGO deal was so good. With S/H + Florida sales tax...they were just $4.08 each. It was hard to pass up, especially since I always keep some extras on hand, for a few friends I got started with vaping. They like it when I find deals, too. :)

Already got a shipment email, too, at 8:49AM! Bought them late last night.

I/we should get these quickly as they are located about 2 hrs. south of me.

In case some of you don't know about, or regularly check, the "DIY Good Deals and Sales" thread in the DIY Eliquid subforum...I thought I'd post this here!
This is THE best discount I've ever seen at Bulk Apothecary for VG! It's excellent quality, too, IMO.

31% off any quantity (except truck loads)
Code: VG
Expires midnight Sunday
it is good VG, I bought 3 more of the small bottles and a lb of menthol crystals

You want the titanium wire. I'm using 26GA titanium Grade 1 Annealed *. Annealed is important as otherwise too springy for coils. The significant difference between ss and titanium is in how the resistance changes with temperature. In my experience, that difference is just too small with SS wire and, not infrequently, I would end up with poor vape quality, occasional "hot hits", etc., etc. These issues mostly vanished with change to titanium. And FYI, titanium has a melting point of 3034 °F and is preferred for medical implants

Bottom line -- in my experience titanium wire is significantly superior to alternatives. And I doubt my remaining stock of ss wire will ever be used. Enjoy!

* FYI, my preferred coil is 3.5mm dia. with 7-8 wraps and rayon wick

What kind of boards have you tried with SS coils?

I have very good luck with TC with SS coils with some boards. Of course, DNA boards doesn't have a problem with SS coils and most of the mods I use have DNA boards in them. Another board that isn't quite as good, but those Vandy Vape chips are quite impressive with TC SS too so far. :)

battery wraps,

i have 2 dif 'brands',, and neither brand has a 'tad' of give in them. every brand of 18650 works with them except the mxjo brand,, and that is the brand of battery i prefer.....anyone know of any wraps with just a little give in them? like not snug at all on your 18650 until you heat it up?

LoveVanilla: Here is what the temperature looks like (in red) with a DNA200 (133W) with dual SS316L coils. There is 3 puffs on this graph if you didn't notice.

Not sure how loose is loose. I use Kidney Puncher wraps. They seem pretty loose to me when I first put them on. They start out flat, when you open them up and put them on the battery they stick out quite a lot where the creases are. If you squeeze them at the creases the battery will fall out.

I agree with the titanium coils as I get the best flavor with these and they seem to last forever. But, when working with this wire it is important to note that it cannot be dry burned. So cleaning is a bit different than with other coils that you can dry burn to loosen and remove and gunked up liquid. I use a soft nylon brush under hot water and it works well, but take care you don't scrub too hard.
As usual YMMV.

:)
