The only flavoring I expect to get to the point of hard or next to impossible to buy will be the various tobacco flavorings but most of the others are used for things other than e-liquid so I really don't see where they will be taken off the table. I've bought most of mine directly from The Perfumers Apprentice and since they aren't a vape store I really don't think they will be affected by the ban on flavors. I could be wrong but I really hope I'm not.

And therein lies my problem, double RY4 is the one I use most. I have cut down to 4 recipes and no longer experiment because I need to focus on those alone.

Please show us in the history of vaping and especially way before any regulation had taken place where vaping has harmed anybody! What! You got nothing? Then why does it need to be regulated for? We have the ability to protect ourselves and we don't need any stinking regulation. We all look out for each other and we do a far better job than all the regulations the FDA has done since they were founded.
You know its all about the money and regulation is the only legal way they can force it upon us. That is why we have 'stocked' up, cause I gave my last money to death and taxes over 8 years ago and they don't like that one bit.

You are not wrong. Most of the major flavor makers we use for our flavoring were in business because of food. Tobacco, not so much even tho some did try. FlavourArt makes some really good tobacco flavors and being they are overseas, I don't think they will be affected by what happens here in the US. oh and Hangsen tobacco flavorings also are overseas. I just hope that those who want them are willing to purchase from overseas.

I stand behind every word I said. No I don't really care if there are 183,436 chemicals in a cigarette. Vaping in many cases to many people is satisfying an addiction. A nicotine addiction. Hence the name E CIGARETTE forum. Same with dipping or patches or nicotine gum.

I did not just fall off the tomato truck. I know people who actually performed some of the testing for addictive add ons to cigarettes. I also know government bearucrats and how they think. But they don't get me all whipped into a frenzy when they say stupid stuff. No, their goal is to get us mad at each other. Divide and conquer.

I was simply making points that sometimes the masses need to be governed. ECFr's are a tiny slice of the worlds population and yes there is a ton of useful information here but.... The world outside of this forum is indeed a place where there are people who are uninformed. And there are crooks and theives galore on the internet. I know kids with better vapes than I have. Know where they got 'em? The internet. There's also a big black market for this stuff and stupid people leaving bottles of yummy juice sitting around where young kids can get them. My two year old grandson for example saw my bottle of strawberry on the counter and threw a fit when I stopped him from trying to climb up there and grab it.

Some folks sell tainted juice. Seriously. ECF is a great place to learn, compare notes and educate others. But it aint the end all do all everything for the world of vaping.

Now can I please stop this? I really wasn't trying to start anything. Just trying to be a bit of a devils advocate for common sense. For a different perspective. Obviously some felt like I had suddenly sided with big brother.

Yeah, I haven't been a member here very long. But I knew of vaping a long time ago. I used to vape e-cigs in around 2008. The cartridges kept popping and 24mg of nicotine ran down my face and caused my skin to go numb. Remember Fumas? I chose to stop vaping because in the early days it was a free for all and frankly the batteries scared me. I kept up with the vaping industry through family and friends until one day I got back in the game.

Now on another level, guns are illegal in Chicago and drugs are illegal in Detroit. Meanwhile there is still a great big market for those things, which is why I aint afraid of some government so-called crack down. I'm more afraid of unscrupulous internet sellers who pose as trustworthy. I am very careful where I buy my products for that reason.

If you guys want a free for all, completely open market, have at it.

Oh my yes. I see where your concern is then. It might be difficult to buy enough for a lifetime but I would be tempted to get some and run a test run. Freeze some for a while, take it out and taste test it. It is very possible freezing it will keep it fresh.

Thanks, Good suggestion, I will give it a try with a wee bit.
Already have enough for about 275 60ml bottles.
Need to buy more if I can preserve it.

I just got done reading the last several pages of this thread, and wanted to say some things..

You can take some coffee beans and put them in some pg or vodka to give it flavor and then make a juice using that.

This is a bad Idea. Although I did try it, I never got it working. But I was very new to DIY at the time.
But the real reason this is a bad idea is due to the oils in coffee. While it might not be greatly harmful to do an experiment with it, I would certainly avoid using it regularly due to the oils.

If you are using a 22mm tank I'd recommend the Wismec RX75 for outstanding hand feel and compact size for a single 18650 mod.

This is the worst mod I've ever had. Also the first one that I was glad when it died an early death.
It was horrible in temp control, had trouble fitting when using heat-sinks due to short screw-in depth, and many times when the battery would get down to about 60-70%, it would start saying "device to hot" (from a cold start). Even Arctic fox wasn't able to remedy the problems with this mod. Although I agree that it felt nice in the hand and loved the firing bar - that wasn't able to overcome the other problems.
Just a horrible execution from a decent idea, for 22mm-only attys.

You are correct about the oil and I wasn’t clear on that. I used a filter when I did my NET with coffee beans. One bean doesn’t release enough oil IMO just to flavor a little pg to taste it.:)

Although I did seem to take your words as devils advocate, this is one point to educate the masses on. Isolated nicotine can absolutely be used as a medicine. It help diseases like Parkinson's, Alzheimer's - and issues with even my own disability: Fibromyalgia. It helps me with cognition and memory, as well as a bit with depression.

I'm down to a main 0.5 mg/ml and really never have any cravings to speak of. I vape to help my condition, in which the cognition and memory effects are quite severe for me. And I vape because DIY is an incredibly enriching hobby.

Although I do thoroughly hate the term "E-Cigarette". I would much prefer "PV" for Personal Vaporizer, but non-vapers/smokers may not recognize that term for it. Plus I think this forum's name might be hard to get used to a change -- ECF kind of rolls off the tongue now. :)

Although I've read that a 'standard' type of filter - like a coffee filter - isn't enough to take out the oils. When I attempted my experiments in my early days, I think I used a certain amount of ground up coffee beans in pg for a bit of time (I forget), then used a coffee filter to get the flavored PG back. Although I was too new to DIY at the time to know what I was doing in order to standardize the process or figure out a correct percentage of the final extraction.

Me and another member here bought some fancy $$ chemistry filters for our nets. Single bean just to to get a taste will be fine.
It took weeks for my nets to get done and I had to filter 3 times before it was over.

I just noticed today that there is a vape shop that recently just opened very close to where I live. I had to pop in and say hi. I bought 120ml cappuccino juice and a coil brush(strummer). About time a vape shop opened close to where I live. It's great to be alive. :D I'm going to try their hot chocolate juice next time. I have so much juices now to last me for six months at least. lol

For storing flavors long term I put them in dark glass bottles, stored in the dark. So far so good!

It is also VERY important to use phenolic polycone caps on those amber glass [Boston Round] bottles!

My 16oz of TFA RY4 Double is stored this way and is just as potent as when I got it ~6 years ago.. Maybe even stronger, I think.

Where are you finding Vari's? I want a bronze one but not to the tune of 300.00.

My Stainless Steel Provari V2 was $224 in 2011. Inflation has been 2% to 3% for the last ten years. Not saying that they are a deal for the money, but they are definitely well made.

    DaveP,

Oh, I know. I have like 20 of them lol. I paid original prices for many of mine and the used ones from the classies were over $100 that I bought back in the day. I don't need another one, I just want the bronze to add to my collection. I could even trade a new Dragon for it if I could find someone who has the brown color. I just am not wanting to pay top dollar for a bronze since I don't need it, just want the color.

That's quite an investment in Provari. They will definitely hold value as time goes on. I don't vape my V2 much anymore, but it's an important part of my vaping evolution. It will probably increase in value over time.
