i have been keeping an eye on this, i am from Australia, iv been vaping since 2008 this will be my 11th year off the smokes
the thing is i am so confused how these regulations will affect me, also the people buying 100mg nic keep saying in this thread don't buy during the heat
well that works if you're in the same hemisphere but not so much in your are down south like me
it means if i order in your winter its summer here, and your summer is winter here
i don't even know 100% what happens when this regulation turns on
atm we order from a Hawaiian (hint - gigitty giggity) well known shop and from New Zealand for emergencies
what happens to those supply lines since both use USA made e-liquid they close down i am guessing? do they close to export as well? they both use shinzo labs ( makers of tortoise blood) in CA i believe as their maker
i am the most paranoid person with using high level nic, i am concerned if i ordered 100mg nic a racoon would come into my window and knock the bottle over it would bounce and it would land all over me and i'd somehow end up drinking 20ml of it lol
we have also had a lot of breakage in the post recently with e-liquid bottles, i just had 10 x 100ml bottles delivered ( flavored 6mg) and 3 were cracked and leaked into the post bag, all the labels ruined and the receipt was drenched, had to remove everything and carefully wash it all
i mean when i first started vaping, you could buy 21mg, 32mg, 18mg etc and 12mg was what most people vaped back then, its kinda changed with the higher processing tanks we use now compared to the tiny carts we used to use

Can't swear to this but I seem to remember reading that a lot of the nic we get in the US originates in India. Maybe they only sell it wholesale. Also most of the nic that is produced is used by the tobacco industry so it will go on being made whatever happens to vaping in the US. If there's a demand I'm sure sources will open up.

You can rest assured that the "racoon" scenario will never happen. There are no racoons in Australia.

i use racoon for our american friends, we have possums here i guess they are very much like trash pandas ( i have literally seen them go through trash bags here in australia )

i think iv come up with a solution that gives us 2 years of e-liquid to find another source so when the regulations come into effect, we will be ok for another 24 months, it'll take some planning and ordering to pull off before the 9 months-ish is over but we'll end up with 150 x 100ml bottles of our favorite e-liquid so 15 liters, this solves the high level nic problem, we did research the 100mg option last night and DIY mixing but its just not an option for us we are both not confident we can do it within our home and not contaminate things ( we have a really small apartment with 2 cats ), also if we had to we could dilute the 6mg down to 3mg and extend its lifespan

i just don't want to take anything for granted once these things kick in, i mean for us i am guessing the knock on effects are probably not as severe as the USA as we can still source from china if we had to but its a last resort

going to buy a lockbox to keep it all in, i know people say freeze it but its only a two year supply iv had e-liquid older than 2 years and its been fine

i know 11 years sounds impressive but there were people doing it before me so they have to be close to the 15 year mark or at least close to it, i actually think for some of the older vapers like me we kinda settled into a groove we had an mod we liked and a tank we liked and a e-liquid we use everyday and it just became routine to re-order and kind of ignore the rest of what was going on, a lesson to keep on top of the political world of vaping

You should be good. Freezing is just for nic base. It's generally not recommended to freeze mixed juice. Apparently some flavoring chemicals can react badly to being frozen and thawed.

Thanks for the advice, i wish you all the best in this next 9 months and i hope a solution presents itself within the 11th hour
at least most of us will be ready when the clocked strikes midnight the last place you want to be is with a 100ml bottle and need to re-order ( and i can 100% say someone out there will be in this situation when it happens)

I don't really need anything except more flavors and batteries. Is FDA cracking down again because of the latest lung problems popping up in teens? Are they vaping oil?? Not sure what to think of these all of a sudden lung diseases showing up. Geez, I have been vaping for 8 yrs now, no problems.

No, bureaucracy moves too slowly for that to have had any effect yet.

The PMTA deadline got pulled forward (to May 11, 2020) due to do a suit brought by the American Association of Pediatrics.

Hmm time to look at my stash again LOL I need to check my RTA's, may grab some wire too :) Is anyone still buying from Fastech with the tariffs?

FT does not collect tariffs.
No Chinese vendor would. The importer pays 'em. That would be you, if the Customs service decides they're worth collecting. There may also be an exemption for declared values below a certain amount. But the tariffs are real. About a month a go, I got a bill for roughly $16k for some components my business brought in from China. This adds about $0.50 to the cost of each product we sell. C'est la guerre.

Exactly the importers pay the tariffs. I was not sure if customs was tacking on tariffs for small packets from China.

I'm having a Deja Vu day, about this last stock up feeling we went thru. Glad I got most everything done years ago, but still have that the end is near feeling. Seeing vendors close their doors, thinking of the hey day of vaping, and what is happening. It is like watching the 1960's end :) But oh the memories! :) Vape on!

I think small ($100??) Personal use is exempt
Uh oh, I just placed an order. I'd better cancel a few things.

EDIT: Got it under 100 now. Hope that will work. Thanks for the heads up.
