Very true! However, I'm not stocked up like most here in the thread. I feel a tick, tick tock in my head that time is running short.
Just thought I would share a real review quickly here. I recently won a Voo poo vinci X. It's okay but a leaker on the bottom of the pod. I don't know if I will pursue using it. I couldn't use it for its intended purpose of out and about. It has to stay at home.

Forgive me if I’ve overlooked posts if you’ve indicated your vaping style. Definitely consider squonking if you haven’t yet. There should be Christmas deals soon, too. Don’t freak out. Obviously you’re not sitting on your hands in denial that a ban is likely going to happen in a few months. That puts you ahead of, probably, most vapers already. I see posts elsewhere where folks think buying eight 120ml bottles of juice constitutes a “stock up.” I’m not trying to make fun of them, but I think that itself is a form of denial.
I don’t need to tell you that you’re in the right place. And I hope that people lurking and reading get what they need, too.
I was thinking about 10 yrs from now, what will be the weak link in our stash. I'm thinking insulators for our RBA/RTA/RDA's and 510 threads. Tank glass would be another.

I wonder if there is virtue in rotating products such as tanks and mods in order to avoid wearing them down versus just using things one by one until they are defunct. I’ve generally kept things in a rotation and changed gear frequently, avoiding damage to things like insulators and o-rings as a result (minus the rare times a mod just quit on me, or a fire button broke).
MTL is my preferred style. I'm slowly stocking up. The past two years I gave away a lot of my unused vape stuff. I know I should have kept it. However, if its something I don't like I probably won't use it in the future. I have been happy vaping a nautilus since its induction. I have tried many other MTL tanks etc and gave them away. Right now I would be happy with my dotmod aio, numerous cheap mods, nautilus coils/tanks etc. I have rebuildables and I found only one tank so far I like. The others have been rehomed.
I think stocking tanks that have parts available is a good bet, or the ones you buy extra bases for is a good bet. I noticed one KFL+ I have has an insulator that looks a bit wonky. I have parts so can fix it, but insulators are a weak area.
Well that makes stocking much easier
My main stock was KFL and Provari's and it's much easier to stock when you know what you like Of course I've added a bunch of new stuff just for fun, but I have plenty of my old stand by's. You can do the same 
I don't agree too much on the tank glass. I've broken one, ever (bet I just jinxed myself). I do agree that atties wear out faster than mods, for me. About one per year vs. one every 3-4 years for mods. Some just need o-rings, some the insulators quit or the 510 goes wonky. I find RDA's to be more robust than RTA's. I have Derringer clone atties from many years ago that still work well.
So, six of one and half a dozen of the other? Thank goodness for replacement parts.
As far as breaking glass goes, stock up on tank bands. They aren't a 100% insurance policy, but they have saved many of my glass from breaking, I'm sure of it. Tanks bands are cheap, Go to DH Gate and look for a reputable seller. Just make sure you get the right size because since there are no tanks that are larger than 22mm, you have to pay attention. It ain't 2017 no mo.

I have a habit of forgetting i have my setup on my lap... then i stand up and it hits the tile floor, or if I am in the car it hits the driveway or parkinglot. I have broken quite a few so i bought a crapload of glass. Glass is usually cheap.
