Items like o rings will always be available as well as lots of other stuff we use.
This is true. I guess I’m just one of those people who like to get it all in my stash and then move on to other endeavors. Stocking has worn me out and I’m ready to be done. Most of my stash is geekvape rtas so to make my future life easier I’d rather get the orings made for those specific rtas. I’m not a fiddler as it actually aggravates me. And vaping for me is not so much a hobby at this point in my life. I’m just too busy. I just want to be finished. I think part of me gets angry that I let this addiction rule so much of my life, if that makes sense. :)

Why don't people vape regular nic base in a pod?
Depending on the pod, they may make such a small amount of vapor that you'd need nic at a strength that would make freebase rather harsh. I suspect this is why some of the early cigalikes that used 48mg freebase didn't catch on. By reducing the alkalinity of the nic, salts fix this problem.

I'll never even try nic salt at this point because I'm afraid I'll like it better and then I have a freezer full of nic base lol
Fear not. It's straightforward enough to convert freebase nic to salts. Just mix in the correct amount of you preferred weak acid. Citric, benzoic, and a number of others will do the trick.

I've used salts in a pod-like device when traveling and at trade shows where I can't vape as much as I'm accustomed to. Even then, I find that I prefer mixing them 50/50 with my regular freebase liquid.

I totally get it. Good luck!!

I always wondered what made a pod setup so powerful that you can only vape low nic base on it. I mean, a lot of the smaller pods I'v looked into are merely 3.7v batts with 1.4-1.8 ohm coils. Just cigalikes & eGos with better batts (I presume) and no 510 threads.

I have always figured the HIgh nic content of the salts caused many people to hit it less often so the very small tanks on pods would last a decent time. Compared to those of us that used old style cartos that wouldn't last an hour way back when.

I've tried nic salts. Bought some 50mg Dinner Lady lemon tart and found it made me a bit nauseous. Not nic od sick just kinda weird. There's much less throat hit to salts and I guess you could take in a lot of nic without realizing it

I bought my Mom a minifit and made her some 18 mg juice and tested everything. With just a few puffs I was nic sick all day long. I normally vape 2 mg so yeah...it was 9 times my normal. I was green all day. She didn’t like vaping. o_O So I’m stuck with a bottle I need to break down to 2 mg.

Isn't it weird how once we reduce our nic we can't stand higher levels. I had some 6 mg mixed and I now use 2-3 mg and it was like OMG it was so strong LOL!

Stronger nic in a pod just make me nic sick. I'm finding not much benefit to pods. My daily driver has always been a Pico with a smallish RDA. That's stealthy enough for everywhere I need it to be. Then I juice up a pod and by the time I decide to carry it something's gummed up. Can't rebuild, can't swap the battery so not stashable.

Pods are terrific for newbies honestly. Dead simple little systems they can get a satisfactory hit from while they make the switch and decide what direction they want to go long term.

In the face of the vapocalypse though I think they are questionable systems for stockpile given many cannot be rebuilt and have internal batteries.

Edit: One thing I have to keep reminding myself is MANY people do not make a hobby out of vaping. They want dead simple, reliable devices they do not have to think about....just use.

Sofarsogood....Have you looked at the snowwolf exilis? The coils can be fairly easily rebuilt.

I sent one of these and some extra pods/coils to an Aussie friend who is making the switch recently.

That happen many years ago as a new vaper, chasing that "great tobacco flavor".

I bought 10ml of 24mg Criss Cross e-juice from a local cigarette store. Not only was it as dark as tar, but it tasted like junk and it really made me nic sick.

I have a feeling it was much higher than 24mg stated on the bottle or it was just made of junk ingredients. But the symptoms I had were indicative of minor nicotine overdose.

It made me get away from tobacco flavors altogether. Thank goodness. The only tobacco flavor I vape now is RY4, but only in cigalikes & eGos. I hardly call that tobacco.

This is good to hear. I hope to reduce my nic intake by next year, maybe sooner. If I can get used to lower strengths, maybe I won't be tempted to go back to higher nic strengths. My nic stash will last a lot longer, too.

I actually like the high test in the mojo disposable. It's a very cool, low power, device. 1 puffs and I'm set for some time.

I ordered one bottle of a 60 mint/menthol salt for use in two other low power devices, will do a test batch cut to 15 with a pinch of liquid menthol added along with the PG and VG.

My ADV is 2mg. The higher mg is for events where I can't vape freely.

Wow there was more of you low nic pod vapers than I thought! That nic salt liter I got and the pods I have aren't for stocking, those are fun things I have to celebrate the fact that there's still no regulations on my e-cigs.

I've said this before but 50 mg/ml nic salts in a pod curb my cravings about as well as my 6 mg/ml DIY in a sub ohm setup. I've never gotten nic sick, if anything I usually go outside to hit my Pico as it helps with the cravings better than the high strength pod for me. I'm a weirdo I guess...

I had stocked for 6 mg in 2016 and wanted my stash to last longer so went to 5 mg then 4 mg and 3 or 2 mg. I don't even want higher now. I love that I can vape as much as I want at lower levels. I don't inhale anymore either, but still love to vape :)

If I could reduce my nic to 2mg, my 8.125 liter nic stash (at my current 10ml consumption per day) would literally last me the rest my life and beyond.

    111.23 years, to be exact.

I would love to not inhale, at least most of the time. That may be another goal of mine.
