I have a Quake that is almost the same thing. It's tiny. When I say tiny I mean not much bigger than the battery. It works very well. It doesn't have any sort of safety on it so I wouldn't carry it in your pocket.

Does anyone have any recommendations on an inexpensive mech mod with a side fire button? (I have 5 bolts, but apparently the side switch on those can only handle something like 3 amps/1.2 ohm or higher.... I have several tube mechs with the button on the bottom, but I'd really prefer a side button).

I'm not a big fan of bottom fire either. Sometimes it hurts my hand to fire one, arthritis starting to form I assume. I got a slam piece clone off of @icepickmaker84 and have been quite happy with it. Not sure where he got it from though, and never really tried to track one down. If you want a 2x700 side fire tube, these are really nice.

They also make an 18650 version of those but and can't remember what they are called. Slim Piece maybe?

Also, on a different note... The wife works with snotty disease ridden pre-k kids for the local school district and she ran out of hand sanitizer (she always has it on her lanyard). Obviously the timing was the worst possible to run out. smh I cannot find it anywhere, looked for rubbing alcohol to make our own and finally found some 2-packs at walmart... was looking for stuff to add to get over the $35 for free shipping and they friggin sold out in the meantime. lol I should have just checked out immediately and paid the stupid $5.99 shipping... Anywhoo, if someone sees rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer anywhere, let me know.

It’s sold out on amazon, Walmart, and every site I’ve checked. But I did get a two pack at my local Dollar General. And Bulk apothecary has gallons for $50, lol.

Our local grocery stores still have iso 70%, though not the 91. Too bad, as the 91 is nicer for hand sanitizer (you can add more vg while still keeping it > 60%).

I did find one apparently honest online store that still has masks at rational (non gouging) prices and is selling to the general public (not reserved to prior customers). I got an email response with specific products and quantities available, and had a nice chat with someone there just before placing an order, expect a shipping notice tomorrow. I have an inquiry out with one other company that has decent prices and some specific products (with credible quantities available); I'll share their name if I get a response.

Nothing new in vaping land. The Veco Plus/EUC 0.5 ceramic combo is still running quite nicely, I've switched it over to one of my Ehpro Armor Prime mods.

O-rings are a concern. They deteriorate in storage. Haven't really tackled that issue yet.

I was wondering if storing extra O-rings in a jar of PG (VG, or some other 'vape-friendly' liquid) would stop or severely slow down any degradation /drying out that could occur over the next 10-15 years. I know water is a definite no.

Yeah it was reading 0.64 when I was having problems now it's 0.59. It's a kanger OCC 0.5 sometimes they end up around 0.6. Think you're right about tossing this one though.

Well I ended up using this coil. Turned it down to 28 watts, can't taste any type of burning anymore, electrical or otherwise. I'll have my eye on it (and backups handy, as always) but I'm not just gonna throw it out if I can get it working, that's wasteful.

Dad's digging the new SSOCC coils, and the fact that it's much smaller than the OCCs means he can fit more juice in it, he's liking that. As small a factor as that may be lol.
