I keep hearing about gas bein .99 cents but its certainly not that here. Most stations are at 1.93. Sams club had it at 1.79. Only went out cause our dear walmart demands it If you need toliet paper. Gee thanks wm. At least on tues @ 6am i finally got some as my online order was never shipped.
Your community isn't burning it up as fast as others- or your gas station had to pay up because they have exceeded credit limit/slow pay

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Areas that are closest to ports tend to have cheaper gas prices than others.

I don't have $0.99 cent gas in my area. $1.97. $1.00 off with grocery store gas points I accumulated. Bought 10 gallons to stockpile 2 days ago at $0.97/gal. thanks to the points. Plus another 5 gals to top off my car's tank. Would have bought more but don't have any more gas cans and they are hard to come by right now. In fact, I used 2 really old "illegal" cans I haven't used for decades so I could stock 5 more gallons.

Thinking about getting a gas generator. Sam's had some 3 days ago.
On the fence. Spending a lot of money lately.

Chlorine tablets for swimming pools (the small 1in or less) are useful as a decon tool.....BUT only use a fraction of 1 in a toilet as they are so strong it will eat plastic plumbing lines.

Pool Shock (aka Chlorine tablets for swimming pools) is also good for making Chlorine bleach (just add water). You can store it much longer in it's "pool shock" form and then make bleach with it as needed. A little goes a long way when using it to make household bleach.

My local WM is out. Of course!

Gas is still around $2.79 here. I'd be glad to see it under $2.

I operate on the premise that I along with just about everyone else will eventually get it barring a vaccine in the next 12 months. The only thing that concerns me is that I am diabetic and asthmatic and respiratory illnesses already make me very ill so I wonder if it will kill me. Im holding out for that vaccine.
Asthmatic too. Himself has implicitly banned me from leaving the house. People like you and I are rarely making it out of ICU, except in a body bag. (Apologies if that’s too graphic, but...truth). Your diabetes increases your odds of a poor outcome. Please stay safe.

So, my vet sent a notice that it is time for yearly exam and vaccinations. I am not sure what to do. Thoughts anyone? Sorry to be off topic.

ETA: I am going to wait.
Mine told me to wait. I’m lucky though, she’ll do a house call in an emergency.

I grabbed several sanitizer wipes as we left the store, after groceries were in the trunk and cart returned, hubby and I cleaned our gloves with the wipes before getting in the car. Cleaned gloves then removed and put in a sealed baggie, hands sanitized then steering wheel then keys.
I wore nitrile gloves for years in the lab, often the whole day. You can wash your hands with the gloves on, or put hand sanitizer on them without removing. 100% alcohol didn’t hurt them, so I’d think hand sanitizer wouldn’t. Mind you, mine were often taped/sealed to my arm, so be careful when you rinse, or you’ll be wearing water balloons ;)

Or they haven’t refilled the tanks. Price we pay as I understand it is based on what they paid when the tank was filled. If they’re not having much business, they probably haven’t had a refill yet.

I'm outside of Houston.. Less than an hour from several big refineries.. My gas is much higher $1.99 last week or so than the gas my family in Oklahoma are paying $0.99.

Houston lives on credit... Wouldn't surprise as that being the reason our gas is higher than the gas 500 miles away.

Or you and I pay more because of all the huge tax credits the oil/gas refineries get from our state governments.

Yep - Same thing no matter where I traveled - Gas was always higher nearer the refineries . . . The worse was Elizabeth NJ - pactically nothing but refineries next to Route 1 & 9, especially near the Newark Airport . . . Gas was more expensive then NYC . . . Even here in South Florida and only being less then a mile away - gas can be more expensive then other parts of the state . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I've been using gloves since before the virus. i wash my hands with the gloves on. Saves wear and tear on hands from the soap. Seems to me the gloves should clean up better than skin and finger nails. I stopped by my auto repair place. He says the neighbors aren't taking the virus seriously. May be that's just bravado. My research is if you end up being hospitalized there are likely to be lingering health problems even if you walk away. I'm staying careful for now. Stay tuned for the remote possibility that vaping is neutral or even protective against the virus. That possibility is being studied. It won't take long once an antibody test is widely available.

    Somewhere between here and there
Walmart.com. i am in WV now and where i wanted it delivered.

I have a feeling mine won’t get delivered by tomorrow like it’s supposed to. There isn’t even a tracking number yet.

I ran to CVS Awhile ago for hubby,,, decided to price check gas station

    1.79 for reg gas.
    1.89 premium

16 pumps ( best station in 10 mile radius) normal flow would be 10-12 busy with cars,,, 1 car getting gas.

Probably a google search would come up with a list of the things that create the price of a gallon at the pump. One of those is cost of delivery, driving a tanker from depot to station. That's going to vary.

But now we probably have until September. I'm not done. More toys.
I’m looking for inspiration..... do tell, what kind of shiny toys are you considering? I feel the pressure to order before the virus closes them down.

Wish you were right, but I doubt that will happen- This was in the news today:
"The House Oversight Committee urged the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in a letter on Wednesday to "clear the market" of e-cigarettes, which makes smokers more susceptible to contracting coronavirus."

Oversight Committee urges FDA to ban e-cigarettes, vaping over coronavirus risks
