I was doing some rearranging in nic freezer and found that I have room for another liter without worrying about hindering airflow.

Hmmmmm.........

Well actually, I have room for more than just one more liter but about 1/4 of the space that I could use for nic is taken up by the plastic liter bottles filled about 3/4 full with water. Not sure that does much. But it makes me feel better to know that there's some ice in there to help keep the freezer cool for a little while longer should the freezer fail. Maybe this is a dumb idea?

Nope. A full freezer uses less energy since it doesn't need to run the compressor as often. And, as you say, ice in the ice box will help get through any power outages.

When we got our freezer we started with some gallon jugs of water, but quickly changed over to a bit more nic and some meat.

Well hopefully you will have better luck than I usually do. As the Zeus Legend Edition has been discontinued and almost all stock of them are gone. And in my experience if you don't grab one now near 100 bucks, you'll never have one later. You don't know how many mods I missed out on, since I waited for a better price and then I missed out on the last boat load of them.

At this point in the game you are better off ordering what you need and/or want. The China market could close to the U.S. at any time, IMO. I have more than I'll need if the rest of my stock lasts like my Pico mods do. I look at everything I buy on sale to be overkill (insurance) at this point. I'm retired, so younger vapers will need much more stock.

I haven't inventoried lately, but I've bought lots of whatever I liked that was on sale in the last few years in mods and atomizers. On top of that, I have a dozen iStick Picos new in shrink wrapped factory boxes for the future. The way that iSticks last, I probably have more than I'll need for the long run. I've been rotating several Picos for years and none have failed.

The only way mine have failed is the carge port, but its better to external charge anyway.

I was at the hospital last Thursday - Friday, transported in ambulance.
Long story short, since I have stents they feared there was something wrong so on the bench I was, PCI surgery. My arteries was fine.
The normal questions from them:
Do you drink? No
Do you live and eat healthy? Yes
Do you still smoke cigs? Yes, 1-2 cig a day
Can you quit the last ones? Yeah, sure can, but I’ve started to vape !!
The chief doctor at the hearth section said: vaping is not dangerous, we consider it to have little or no damage health wise.

So with that in mind I bought more gadgets today, two Aspire Mixx, one Geekvape Aegis Solo, One Suicide Mods Either RTA (love that tank), One Aspire Nautilus GT Mini, 5 bags Cotton Gods, and was gifted a Teslacig Stealth Mini.

Placed a new order for another Either RTA, one YDDZ T1 RTA for my teslacigs, one Pioneer RTA, one Hellvape MD RTA, one Ambition Mods Hera, and a few spools Twisted Messes.

In search for MTL drip tip, will take me some time to find something I may like.

Wow I'm glad you're out of hospital. I Vape to keep from smoking cigarettes too, it works. I'm stocked up for at least 4 years. If I run out of VG /PG you can buy it at Walmart Walgreen or CVS they're cooking products. Busy now learning to build Rebuildible Tanks & experimenting with diff tobacco flavors. Hopefully I bought flavors I'll like & want to duplicate. Good night
