Just want to report something I think may be helpful for some just getting started in stocking up and might ease some peoples' minds who already have.

Some say that when you store nic in the freezer that it may be a good idea to seal the lid with some silicone tape, because electrical tape won't hold in freezing temps.

Well, I used electrical tape because I have plenty of it and didn't want to buy silicone tape, which seems to be rather expensive for what it is.

So I just took a bottle out of the freezer that's been in there for pretty much 1 whole year now. Well, the tape is not only sticking but it's sticking VERY well. In fact, it took quite a bit if force to pull it off once I was able to start it. No sign of it having pulled away from the glass or the plastic cap.

And here's the real kicker: it's Dollar Tree tape at 50 cents per roll (pack of 2 for $1). I already felt comfortable using it because it's really sticky for dollar store tape and seems just as good as more expensive brands I've used in my life. It also stretches just as well as the better brand's I've used. It takes quite a bit of stretching for it to break/snap at room temperature.

I have a feeling it'll be just fine over the years. Knock on wood.

Not saying anyone should take a chance on dollar store tape, but I think electrical tape in general is plenty suitable to make a nice seal in freezer storage. Just make sure you pull it nice and taught as you're wrapping it around the cap/bottle.

Agreed. I'm using bottles that were in the freezer since 2015 sealed with electrical tape. And they held up just fine.

Mine came with electrical tape already on the bottle and cap (from MFS). What is it supposed to do anyway? Keep the oxygen out? Keep the cap from working loose?

Insurance from all the above. Gotta try to eliminate as many fail points as you can for a long-term stash.

These caps are somewhat brittle. I found this out when I closed my first bottle and decided to use a damp rag to really crank it down. No Bueno. Cracked very easily into 3 or 4 pieces. :( Luckily I had bought extras and luckily the cone inside stopped any pieces from falling in the bottle (I think - thankfully it's only a 4oz bottle).

Also, I once ordered bottles with caps already on them from Heartlandvapes and the caps arrived shattered. They were packed well so I have no idea how that could have happened. From now on I only order bottles and caps separately from them (and it's actually cheaper to do it that way anyhow so no biggie).

For what it's worth, heartland's caps appear to be the same exact caps and quality that I got when I ordered from GlassbottleOutlet on Amazon. So my guess is that's just how they are. You can really crank them down with just your bare hand with no issue, just not with a damp rag.

I am using the last of the nic that I bought in 2012 and stored in the freezer. It is as clear and seems to be as strong as it was when it arrived. I didn't put any tape on the PolyCone Lined Phenolic caps.
By the way it survived a week with no power after hurricane Irma, I had to toss all of the food that was in the freezer with it.

Where did you buy the nic?

It is now Nicotine Giant in Irmo SC, I cannot remember who it was before he sold his business to them.
Nicotine Giant use to be RTS vaping and Randy was the owner. I have a few liters from them. Good nic even though it came from China. (Another story from years ago).

Happy New Year ECF stockpilers... I’m holding out well on what I put away several years ago (still have 3L of 100mg Vapers Tek Chemnovatic nicotine).

Still vaping these daily after 6 years.

lol im still "stocking up"

Ordered two more mods yesterday. Lookin at some RTA's maybe

That's cool, you still can right now even though the deals are much fewer than they were and not as good. Just don't forget about that nicotine base otherwise it's all for nothing.

    Somewhere between here and there
For those still stocking up, just thought I’d mention that the vape mail ban was passed when the president signed the spending bill. From what I’ve read so far, there will be a 120 day grace period but don’t know that’s a fact.

I just need a bit more 100mg nicotine. Is nicotine in this bill? Are we even sure this will be enforced or like, is it going to be like the old days of cannabis dispensaries where the fed only raided the top grossing companies? What are we looking at, exactly, for ordering mods? Is it just going to be more difficult, or is it going to be impossible? Or is it going to be business as usual, but, technically illegal, lol?
