You guys are cracking me up, just following about the solos. Im shaking my head here, so between the people in the solo conversation on this page how many solos have been bought? Its like guessing the jelly beans in a jar....
I havent been able to find anywhere I can buy yet that will ship to Aus or if they do the shipping is more than the order. If any Aussies can drop me a line sometime when you get a minute please. I would appreciate it greatly. xx

I think they were referring to the THC Tauren Solo RDA we were talking about? Or were they referring to the GeekVape Solo Kit? Now you have me wondering...
I got the Bronze because of how it accents with the drip tip. I think they all look pretty nice though. The machining on these guys is top notch. Is this your first THC product? Oh that reminds me, I got one of their mech mods a while back ago and never opened it. I have high expectations for that too, but maybe I shouldn't, lol.
I'd say it was the Geekvape Aegis Solo mod that Ali was referring to because it was a very popular mod mentioned in this thread a bazillion times in past years.
The new Solo (Solo 2 aka S100) is much nicer looking IMHO. Not chunky due to no rubber on the body (which IMHO is a plus). I have too many original Solo and Max mods and other mods to justify buying any more mods, but I wish I didn't buy any solos so I could justify buying the new solo.
No new Max yet, though. It's seems single 21700 mods were a fad more or less so it's a wonder if GV will even make a new Max. We'll see.

At this point, if I have a spare dime that I can justify spending it on adding to my stash, I'm going to buy nic base. I have enough hardware. Not that I don't have enough nic, but no one really knows for sure how long it will remain usable.

But the coolfire doesn't have the glove-friendly buttons like the new solo. I used to not like that type of button but I grew to prefer it. That's one of the reasons I prefer the Max to the Solo. The original solo just has flat buttons.
Aesthetically, it looks like the Aegis Solo and L200 had a baby. I'm a huge fan of the L200 so far, and they were able to keep it IP67 rated. In terms of chip function, it looks to be the same as the original Solo. I was unaware of this since it isn't listed on many sites for whatever reason (why list the specs of a car with a turbo and not mention the turbo?), but both the Solo and Max range upwards to 8V which means both of the chips are buck boosted.

I'll still hold out for the Max 2 though, since I'm a 217 nut now, lol.
The CoolFire does have a protruding button, but it doesn't "click" like the GV Max/Legend/X does which I'm sure is nice to hear when you're wearing a glove. I'm not sure about the original Solo though, since I don't have one. It doesn't have the same button type as the Max?
Okay, looking at them side by side now, I see what you're talking about. The Max def. has a smaller, and slightly more recessed presence than the Legend/L200/X. It does still have a crisp click though, which I love about these mods.

Yes, it protrudes, but it's flat. Once I started using my Cold Steel 100 mods, I was hooked on the glove-friendly type of buttons that not only protrude, but have a protrusion. I just dig the ergonomics of it.
I would too if I were in the market for a dust/shock/water resistant mod. They'll wait until everyone buys the solo 2 then release the Max 2 so that everyone wants it, too. It never ends.
The paint is coming off and it has a runaway rocker switch
