Thanks, Rose. That small one looks like just the trick for me. I'm not worried that it won't hold much. I'm retired and have plenty of time to reload it. Does it require any sort of solution to clean coils and attys? I'm mainly interested in cleaning and re-using drop-in coils.
So do you use distilled water? I have tried rinsing cotton coils before but the cotton gets hard when it dries and the vape tastes nasty.
Maybe using PG instead of water in the ultrasonic might be better?
I am sure you will get different opinions but this is what I do:
I put half a capful of minty mouthwash in the water. I let them soak for awhile, then run the ultrasonic for 2 or 3 minutes. I check the coils, if they are still dark/yucky looking, I repeat. When they appear clean, I put clean water in and run that for a couple minutes. Then dry the coils. I make sure to prime them well and I have not had them get hard, they are like new. I think if coils are hardened, they aren't clean yet.
Some juices are notoriously hard on coils as we know and those may not have good results even after the ultrasonic cleaning. Coffee vapes and any darker colored juices are worst, of course. Still worth a try, I always get at least a few more days out of the coils with a good cleaning.
