I can't help thinking that a bit more nic won't hurt. Whether a hoarder mentality or pragmatism are running the show is the question. A ten year stock seems relatively safe, but I expect to live a bit beyond that and my wife even longer, so maybe a bit more...

I pick up quick with visual than I do by reading something. I thought that it may be possible that those types of videos would be taken down so wanted them before anything happens.

Truth! I don't think I've ever read a manual except for reg mods for menus and adjustments. All my building skills have been courtesy of YouTube. Heck, I used a video to replace the head and intake gaskets in one of my cars. It was a major job but I saved a thousand bucks doing it. I had my laptop sitting on the motor under the hood and went step by step. My god there were a lot of steps... I had to label a lot of stuff as I took it off. No way I could remember how to put it all back together even with a video showing how. Lol

At first I was excited to stock up. I felt like I was taking control and not allowing the gov’t and their best buddies BT & BP to take away my right to vape. I got excellent advice here on what I needed to buy for both hardware and DIY juice ingredients. I quickly learned and practiced making juice, easy peasy. I have many rebuildable attys and am learning that too.

All of the vape mail coming in for weeks had me somewhat euphoric. Money is not so tight for me so I even purchased a new 5.1 CF freezer and converted a spare bedroom into my “lab”. During these three weeks or so I have repeatedly fought back the anger that I feel when thinking of my friends that can’t afford to do all of this (both of them smoked 3 packs a day before converting to e-cigs) and then I order more DIY ingredients so that I can cover them too. I even purchased extra Provari 2.5s ( have 7 for myself) and numerous Kayfuns for 2 of my closest friends who have opted not to stockpile because they simply cannot afford to do so.

I am prepared for the dark ages when they come, but I am so angry. I have one thing to say to all of these governments that are attacking vaping …..

Shame, shame, shame
Thank you for saying it so well. I needed that. My anger peeks out now and then. I was very angry at first.

Actually, I'm still very angry. But, I'm too busy trying to finish up the details right now. Wait for a paycheck, buy a little bit, wait for another paycheck, buy a little more. Always watching what's available where so I'm ready to pounce when the check clears the bank.

Thank you for helping me shed a few tears and release some of the anger and sadness I feel over this . . . . this Shame.

I honestly hope they are right and that in 3-5 years, I'll still be able to buy nice mods, atties, and fresh nic base. But I'm sure not counting on it.

Even if the deeming date gets changed to today's date and all our current gear is safe - there will be a significant cost difference and on-line sales will be changed drastically (several solutions possible). For me stocking up just solidifies what I have. I have not gone overboard, but I have made myself prepared.

constant state of confusion
Recently did an inventory in my vape cabinet.
Nic- done
Mods- didn't need any new
Tanks- misc parts left to get.
I am going to make a large order of some Nautilus and some Triton coils simply because I enjoy that vape a lot.
I have spent my vape "career" as a hoarder. It's served me well. I'm on an exceptionally limited income. I have no credit cards and my income is $400 a month. While I would love to buy some new mods, there are more important needs for my stockpile and I have more than enough to last my lifetime...
Trying to stock pile for me has been extremely stressful. I'm just ready to get it over with.

It wasn't feasible to put away a lifetime supply of cigarettes when they were less than $1.00 a pack, but I sure would have saved a pretty good pile of money if it had.

Back in the day - I know many a people that filled up a freezer... Sound familiar...

I ended up ordering elsewhere and then something just clicked for me. I'm done!
Now, get some rest! Have a cold beverage. Get some sleep. And, go out into the sunshine and live again!
I feel for those that don't even know that they need to find their way here. :( Can you imagine how bad it can get when they wake up one day and find out :(
What a horrible shock to find out after it's too late!
I knew all this talk has been happening for years now, but it was all so slow, I just figured it would be a light sentence when/if it finally happened. Wrong!!!!!!!
The FDA played their hand very well. After what happened before, they planned and did their groundwork with all the propaganda. They waited to make their move until the very last minute that they could. One week after the Royal College of Physicians announced their verdict on vaping and the news was already spreading to mainstream media, the FDA pounced.

Like playing the stock market, timing is everything. Max propaganda and lies, minimum truth. Now, we'll see how it plays out.

In the meantime many were lulled into complacency.

We will win in the end. Eventually.
I would clearly label the contents as to what they are with a warning of Do Not Drink, or whatever you feel would best deter an error.

Oh, as to the pup. If it helps any, I once had a dog that ate an entire pack of cigarettes. After lapping up my coffee from the mug on the coffee table. The dog was fine. I wasn't.
Maybe mention on the label that nicotine will absorb through the skin. So, a label that says to wash off immediately if it comes in contact with your skin. And, even the addition that you should go to the emergency room if you're showing symptoms. That might scare them into being careful. Or, maybe not.

Keep pets closed completely out of the room until after you've washed up and put everything away!
I think the FDA has been Masterful in Keeping the Focus on the 18+ Age Limit when dealing with the Lamestream Media. And keeping the Focus Off the Utter Decimation of a Tobacco Harm Reduction market.
Absolutely agree.

I've downloaded a few. Then my downloader stopped working. I really need to work on that!

I would not hold your breath waiting for that to happen - all depends upon how much economic impact can be derived from the industry and what form the industry needs to be in to maximize those results...

I didn't say it would be in MY lifetime.

If you have Aspire items you have to take them out of the cart, then buy non-ASpire items, throw in a few more so you have enough $ to cover what you really want. Pay for all items, including the extra you don't really want. As soon as paypal clears, then cancel the order. It will give you an option of refund to pay pal or a gift certificate. Choose the gift certificate. It is immediate. They issue a refund onto a gift cert. Then put all the stuff you do want into the cart including the Aspire items and when you go to pay, use the gift certificate. I have had to do that a couple of times. It works, and is what is suggested to do.
Hope this helps.
:)

Do you cancel the items while logged in to Paypal or is the cancellation done at the retailer's website?

I want to be done but that niggling itch in the back of my mind says "just a couple more tanks and one more mod."

I suppose the scenario in my mind that is driving this is when my current mods fail and I have to actually break into my stash. Plus, if my husband ever takes up vaping full-time, I'll need to cut what I have into half for the both of us.

So, as I've been saying now for weeks, tomorrow's FT sale will be my "last hurrah" for gear hoarding.

Onto the fun portion of this comment, I think I'm going to pick up a couple Limitless RTAs. My Avocado has been a revelation for vaping enjoyment. Absolutely amazing. So I'm hoping the Limitless will be an extension of that.

Also, one more mod. What I can't decide is if I want to get a mod that is not just another repeat of the ones I've already got stashed. I'd like to try out a "wild card" but there's so many brands I'm not familiar with and many models I will not buy for certain reasons that my options are more limited than I'd like.

On top of that, I have nicer models stashed and I don't need another $100-200 mod just sitting in a drawer, so I'd like a quality mod (built to last at least a year with gentle usage) for around $40-60. Of course no internal batteries.

If anyone has a recommendation that is not an IPV5 or RX200 (I have several) I would appreciate the help.

On the FT website. Make sure to choose gift certificate when they ask how you want to be refunded.

Mods - done
Nic -done
Tanks - still need replacement parts
I should still be able to get coil building materials and batteries so I think I'm ok there!
Am I missing anything?

I like lists. This could be fun.
  • Nic (duh)
  • Mods & spare parts
  • RBAs & spare parts
  • Videos & instructions to everything, including how to rebuild everything
  • Instructions and recipes for DIY
Optional:
  • Clearos & spare coils, plus spare parts to keep them going long enough to rebuild for years
  • Disposable atties & cartos - Not advised. But, if you want 'em, buy 'em now.
Did I miss anything?

I download instructional videos from YouTube.

What browser, plug-in, add-on, extension, or application are you using. I use to do that but Google/YouTube then blocked that ability.

I'd really like to save some vaping videos! :thumb:
