I just found out there are two different Serpent minis, bnrkwest. The first one which I do have is the Serpent mini rta. You have to make your own coil on this one. Then last month? Wotofo came out with a Serpent mini Sub Ohm which takes a premade coil and the Kanger STM coils also fit........which can be recoiled too.

Since the little Aspire Replacement BVC's (non Nauty) can be used the STM's .......and the STM coils can be used in the newer Serpent........I was hoping the Aspire Replacement BVC coils would also work in the Serpent..... I love options.

@kross8 - There's 2 different coils that Kanger makes for the PT2. Both are sold in a small black box, and come in 1.5, 1.8, 2.2, and 2.5 ohms. Only difference between them is that the second ones are SOCC and usually alittle more expensive than the first ones.

First ones are marked:
Coil Unit
for Protank & EVOD & Unitank

Second ones are marked:
Coil Unit
MT32Coil (SOCC)
Japanese Organic Cotton Wick

I've been buying them for a few years now from DesertVapes, since she has good prices regularly, and when she has a sale..they're really less than other places.

Well, you'll be happy to know that ProTank 2 coils also work in the STM and the TopTank. The ProTank 2 coils were the first I learned to rebuild and they're pretty inexpensive now.

How did you figure that out? They are completely different looking coils. That is awesome news non the less.

Gotten a lot of mine from FT too. Mostly use the 1.5 ohm in my PT2.

I've not tried one in my STM yet as I don't use that very much, but I did try one in my Nebox and it leaked a lot so won't be using in my Nebox in the future.

Those ProTank 2 coils may not be for you then, kross8, as they are tiny and confining so the coils I build for them are around 1.5-1.8 ohms......Totally tootle puffer. Don't think I've ever seen one to purchase below 1.5 ohms.

I have this habit of turning sub ohm tanks into tootle puffing equipment!

I built tge Pro Tank coils but SHEEESH i hated it. 1/16 inch coil diameter and hope and pray you didn't short it out on tge bottom, top or either side.

I LOVED rebuilding the OCC heads for Subtank Nano. Had plenty of room to build those.

Ha! Two-Bears, after rebuilding the Aspire Replacement coil in a horizontal position (had hubby ream out the top of the casing), the PT coils that you can easily see and get to is a snap!

@corn flakes - I went and looked at the coils you linked to, for the PT2 on FT...that are $2.91/box of 5 if you order 5 or more boxes. The box is definitely different than the 18 I've bought from 3 different US vendors. So I'm alittle leary of them myself. They are the also ones with the regular cotton in them by the way.

I did find the SOCC ones below that I also use, and they are the exact same KangerTech labeled box. They're $3.92/box of 5, but $3.50/box if you order 5 or more. To me...I can tell a difference in flavors when using the SOCC cotton or the regular ones. For only $.11 more per coil, I prefer the SOCC. You might want to try some of them to compare, too.
