yeah Bek, PA is out of controll..............

Yes sir!

I'm from Philly and Bucks County.

I have family in Montgomery County, Bucks, Lackawanna, Carbon and Lancaster if memory serves me right.

Used to be nice to be able to cross the bridge into Jersey and fill up the tank.

And have a good selection of adult beverages that you could actually see on a shelf and buy at reasonable prices instead of waiting in line to give your order to a snarly person behind the counter at a PA LCB "State Store". I dunno if you guys are old enough to remember when the State Stores were not self-service, but I am.

It appears nic concentrate, stored optimally might last indefinitely. A forum participant has a 7 year old bottle in the freezer and says it is still fine. My favorite atomizer is a reletively simple rda that cost me $7 each. I figure 10 of those should last 10 or 20 years even if I'm replacing some generic parts along the way. It gets more complicated with mods. I prefer temp control so that means regulated devices with oled screens that might expire in 10 years even sitting on a shelf. The 510 threading might wear out. How many clicks can the fire button take? I'm betting the screens are generic and will still be available in 10 years and the same for fire buttons that a competent electronics repair person could replace. There are no garrantees but I'm confident that for less money than I used to spend to smoke for 3 months ($650) I have the critical items for 10 years and may be 20. Even if Trump or the courts or congress come to the rescue I'll never trust government to let me vape in peace. I'm going to have some supplies no matter what.

I'll add that as the August 2018 date approaches, if the bans appear to be ever more likely I might increase my stockpile. I won't know until more happens. But what I have now seems prudent based on the current status of things.

Wow thank you! I was told by all nic vendors, NO freezer, NO fridge! Room temperature, in darkness. Now I am confused! Halo told me the nicotine will start breaking up (fusion base) after a year or so. They gave me some revival tips of opening the bottle and putting the top on in reverse so there's just a tiny bit of air, after a vigorous shake. Haven't tried that, but I will confirm, my 2 yo fusion tastes funky, and it's always been kept in what they call optimal. My flavoured juices now have use by dates, well some do. And it always seems to be 18 months or 2 years from manufacture date.

I am a bit MORE confused now LOL.. so any extra info would be much welcomed.

Also, i put August 2018 in Google and not seeing stuff relating to that date, but rather August 2016 which has past. What is in August of next year may I ask?

Glass bottles, minimal head space, in your freezer. Seems to keep indefinitely that way, There are reports from people who've stored it that way for almost 7 years who say it's indistinguishable from new. I can personally vouch for 3 years.

Sorry what do you mean by minimal headspace? Excuse the brain fart

It doesn't hurt to have stocks of any of this stuff, especially when your home state thinks you should pay a 40% tax on anything that you buy that you intend to use for vaping. Now I wouldn't miss any meals if I had to pay a 40% tax on PG, VG, or resistance wire, but it just warms my insides to know I'll never have to pay it. :)

That's the one thing I haven't stocked up on due to shelf-life issues. Li-Ion batteries lose capacity every year even when not cycled at all and stored at an optimal charge level.

Ok so basically it IS just about taxes that they are losing from smokers quitting. Which i always have claimed far exceed the costs of health treatments required for smokers. In australia, 25 cigarettes cost $25 or more. No joke. It's about 95% tax.

Not that old.

BUT!

I do know about DRIVE IN beer distributors. (Because by law you have to be physically in the building to buy alcohol.)

AND!

Crossing the state line to get alcohol on Sunday.

I'm not calling you out but what vendors? Nicotine vendors or juice vendors?

Generally accepted is don't freeze juice.
Some might keep it in the fridge but don't freeze juice.
Nicotine OTOH has proven to be good as new after 6yrs in cold storage @Kurt

Who told you not to freeze nic or was it juice?

Fill the bottle almost completely full. Leave only a small amount of air at the top. Yes, you do need a small amount of air to prevent massive pressure changes due to expansion and contraction (mostly contraction) with temperature changes, but you don't want much. In a well-sealed glass bottle, the amount of much oxygen is in that headspace air is all the oxygen that can ever react with the nic, so you want to limit that.

A juice vendor might tell you that (and they may or may not be right depending on what flavorings are in that juice) but a nic vendor?

Halo told me the nicotine will start breaking up (fusion base) after a year or so.
Yeah, if stored at room temperature, it will, especially if it's in a poorly sealed bottle, or one that has a lot of headspace air. But Halo is more a juice vendor than a nic vendor.

Anyway, unflavored nic base (which would include Halo Fusion): Freeze it. Trust us on this. :)

Just out of curiosity, does refrigeration also increase shelf life.. and when freezing, is it like vodka in that it doesn't actually freeze, or does it actually ice up, so i'd have to defrost it when it came time to use? Does a massive power interruption matter, or is it safe for it to just refreeze when power comes back on? My house is prone to dropouts.
