Yeah, but there's only so much that will fit in a backpack. With stockpiling, you're only limited by spare square footage and freezer space. And if you have a bunker, be sure to keep your stuff there. What's the point of surviving in a bunker with enough food (well, sorta food) for two years, but no vape stuff.
True, it is that "get it now" feeling or you are in the remote wilderness with nothing!

Yours Truly wrote; "I find this all incredibly sad and still a bit surreal."

Uh-huh. :(
Here's how I envision it:
When I smoked, I smoked just about anywhere, except for the inside of buildings. Having to hide my vape, only being able to vape inside my home, or hiding my clouds while I drive my car because vaping's banned doesn't sound like fun to me. Having to DIY. :-/ Watching a friend smoke because they can't buy vape gear legally, while I continue to vape (?!)......My becoming a criminal in order to buy my friends and family black/grey market vape gear. No forums, no vape meets, no vape shops, no reviews, no online community.
Waaah!!!!

But hey, some people say, we can still vape while we watch it all happen. :(

There's also being limited by money. Fixed income here thanks to work related disability.

I do have have an ohm meter and regulated mods to measure a build on. I have Kayfun tanks to build just haven't used any yet, I need to practice! I am assuming a Reo takes RBA's and not tanks right? I do have a couple Corolla RBA's coming would they work on a Reo? I may just try a Carto when the Reo comes in to try it out :)

Cartos work fine on a REO if you want to try it out. But make sure you check the ohms on the carto with a meter before you put it on your brand new toy. The only time I ever dropped a spring on a REO was with a brand new cartomizer fresh out of the package. It was a bad carto. Good news was that the spring works like it's supposed to.

Every time I say ok that is all I need for stocking up, I find that there is just one more thing I need! LOL I am about all set but I am sure I will find something else. All set on mods, rebuilds, Nic, may get a few more flavors and VG/PG to have on hand :)
I made a careful inventory of everything I actually use. Before August 8 I want 5 more SV rda clones, a total of 10, 2 more bottles of nic, and 7 more mods (Picos and vtc minis) for a total of 10. I'll stock the little stuff too because it's cheap. That's the survival stash, intended to be reliable for 10 years but may be it will last for half again or twice that if everything worked better than expected. I'll by pg, vg, batteries and cotton as needed. I'm not going overboard on this hoarding thing because may be a judge will come to our rescue. Just kidding.

The hardest part to calculate is the mods. I figure a mod should last for 2 years of continuous use but I could be way off on that. They work hard, especially the fire button. One SV rda might last 10 years but at $9 each why mess around.

Good to know! So what is a target ohm to build for a Reo on a 18490 batt? I have been looking at some charts to get familiar with safe ohm's per batt size, it seems Around 1.0 to 1.8 ???

Starting to think this might be a Wise purchase for the Vape War.

I like it, but I don't see a rack of shovels for digging your way out or a bank of refrigerators for nicotine. :thumb:

I also was reading about protecting the connection by using a special product, forgot the name, to keep corrosion and oxidation at bay, I have never done that on any mod but I think I will now to keep things clean and shiny longer.
I believe it's called Deoxit Gold. I got mine off Amazon. :)

They are Provari v2.5's, and I had them install the P3/510 connectors., which makes them a flat top. They are available on the Provape site in the "Specials" section.

They look great!

Never know quite what I'll be buying during the Vapocalypse! :D

I'm not stock piling anything. I might buy another extra DNA200 device just in case things get too hot for a short time and my Reuleaux fails, however I can't even tell you how many devices I have already.

Personally i think this hysteria is crazy. I've been vaping since 2008 and am a heavy nic liquid user (24mg) so I don't have to vape as often and can get away with it in my office. However since going through the crazy coil building phase and moving to tanks like the herakles plus that can deliver nearly as much vapor and flavor, I have absolutely no desire to invest the time or money into this anymore. Yes, I've got a ton of coil packs and a ton of devices and supplies already. If things fail, I'm just going back to dripping into a Derringer with Kanthal and cotton on a mech. I really don't think going to have any problem getting my boutique/high-end juice shipped to me, and there's no way I'm going to sit there on my time off with a rubber apron and gloves mixing raw nicotine.

Everyone's acting like the sky is falling and maybe it will fall for the masses. However this might be the best thing to happen to vaping. We're going back to good old days when there weren't thousands of videos posted on youtube by idiots trying to breathe fire. That's what ruined this all in the first place. Nothing was blowing up in anyone's face 6 or 7 years ago. If I can't get my juice and have to quit, I'll quit. There's just no way I'm going to spend thousands of dollars building a stock pile and turn this into something so time consuming that it runs my life. Even if you freeze the Nic juice and other materials, they won't last forever. All these stockpile threads are just insanity in my opinion. You're either going to run out of everything anyway or you're going to end up having wasted a ton of $ on outdated and overprice crap (i.e. - "I have 11 Provaris") that you never use.

I just don't see the need. When I started vaping we were building our box mods using generic components. I have enough drippers and tanks already, as I assume everyone here does just from being a vaper. The only thing you need to replace is o-rings and insulators. There's no way to stop the sale of that stuff.

Honestly, there's just no way I'm going to turn my basement into a mixing lab and get caught up in all of this. Others will do it and I just don't think it'll be that hard to get what we need from people who will end up doing this for a living on the side, regulations or not.

You are right, but...
- But some people have found a real pleasure in stockpiling. So many new toys, so well justified they are!
- But some people (me included) may spend less than $300 on stockpiling (including nicotine, which will not became obsolete).

It sounds like you are already stocked up and ready to quit if you need to. Some of us aren't stocked up and are not ready to quit. Everyone has to do what is best for themselves.
