Here in NC you can buy tobacco and alcohol online with an adult signature. A tax on e-liquid containing nic of 5¢ a ml regardless of nic strength has been in place for over a year. There also a law that tobacco products that aren't cigs (which have a per pack rate) are taxed at 12.8%.

I actually think I could live with that, given the alternative.

for me, there's nothing left to buy

I'm down to buying some new silica-gel packs ... end of Vape Mail Days are here for me.

This is a much better buy than the packets, which are disposable needing to replaces every month or so.
I have purchased several for different applications and they work great.

OSG-40 Silica Gel Dehumidifier Desiccant 40 Gram Orange NO Cobalt (II) Chloride
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015OTBJFG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hydrosorbent creates a 40 gram Silica Gel Dehumidifier desiccant unit which protects 3 cubic feet of enclosed space. It has top grade orange bead silica gel within a compact aluminum canister that measures 4" x 2" x 0.5". It has a built-in indicator that turns from orange to clear signaling a need for reactivation. This Silica Gel Dehumidifier can be reactivated in any oven with a lifetime expectancy.
Yeah, I planned on buying silica packs. I really like the units!

I've been trying to figure out which packs to buy and what size. Seems like almost every category I check out on Amazon anymore has at least one item that has paid for reviews. I cracked up to see it was true of dessicants as well. I can hardly trust Amazon anymore.

So would it be better to individually pack each item and give it its own little gel pack, or pack everything together and sprinkle in some packets? And I was under the impression we could renew them now and again by baking them in the oven. I don't know how much in the way of regulated mods I'll want to store, but what about mech mods, tanks, and atties. Should they be de-humidified as well?

Amazon! I was looking at a set of sharpening stones (not vape related) off and on for a month. Initially, they were $6.xx per set. Then 12.xx. last time I looked, they are over $24.00. Next time I shop there, I'm not going to log in. Maybe that'll keep them from doubling every time I look.

On silica gel, they also sell it at Hobby Lobby, though it's loose in a bag and I've forgotten the price. I hate Hobby Lobby, but sometimes you just gotta.

"Am I done stocking up?"

Well, I think I could be. The only thing I was worried about was nicotine, and since I've been (gradually) tapering down to zero nic, right at this moment I have enough 100 mg/ml nic to last at least 15 years, even if it degrades (as has been discussed elsewhere) at 1% per year.

I will probably buy another mod or two (My most recent purchases have been two Cuboids and a Procyon) and possibly a few more atomizers. And I'll probably scrounge around for a few "repair parts" for a handful of my favorites, even though I have enough o-rings to choke a donkey. If the variable mods wear out, I still have about 15 mechs that will have to do the job.

I will say, though, for the atomizers that are my faves, the only things I can see really wearing out are the o-rings, and some broken glass. But thanks to Fasttech I have a boatload of spare tanks for my "top five" (I've so far only broken an average of one per year), and more to be ordered eventually.

For those of you discussing the silica dessicant, you can buy it in bulk and make your own packets out of anything. And it can be regenerated by heating it in an oven at 250F for a few hours. If what you are storing is in a sealed container, I'd suggest regenerating it once a year or so. I've been doing this for decades (although not with vape gear) with great success.

For the mods and tanks that I don't plan on using for a long time, I was planning to put a pack in the box and seal them up. (food saver)

That's actually not a bad idea, it works great with food, why not vape gear?

As I am done stocking up, all I ordered today was another liter of nic. And a bunch of glass bottles for storage. A little more nic and I should be set.

OK, I admit it. I also ordered a KF mini plus 3 from FT with some replacement glass for my tanks as well. And some tank stands. And I really should finish out my shopping cart from VaporDNA. But that doesn't really count, because I put those things in the cart before I claimed to be done shopping. Honest.

And to top it off we've got Blumenthal.

I predict a lot of restrictions and very high taxes are on the horizon. Have to wait until this all shakes out to see if there will be other states in driving distance with more reasonable prices. My money is on New Hampshire.

I think I'm done stocking nic (for now). Getting close on hardware. I will probably continue to pick up bits and pieces until I can't anymore.

I still remember many of the patients smoking without a problem there, which worked out for me as I didn't have to try and go outside to smoke. Now hospitals don't want cigarettes within 200 feet of their entrance, which is appropriate. But at the VA, for some of those guys who were long term patients and unlikely to ever leave, at least were able to hold onto one thing that gave them pleasure. Given how much they lost, they deserved it.
I am wondering if a smoker considered it appropriate while still a smoker. I didn't then and I don't now.

and back on the subject: One of my fasttech orders has arrived in the states and the other two are moving toward me. I won a contest here from Madvapes and my prize is also on its way to me. Gotta love VAPE MAIL :D

I think these days smoking outside a hospital entrance just isn't really proper. Folks shouldn't have to walk through a line of smoke when they're sick (unless they want the nicotine fix).

Still, there was a time when smoking even in hospitals was allowed, so no need to stand outside.

I have vape mail arriving today. My new Efusion Duo is landing a day early!:rickroll:
