If you plan on spring you may want to consider the blooming of the cherry blossoms trees in the Washington DC basin. These trees were gifts from Japan many years ago and are a sight to behold. Always a big deal each year. Plus all the history and memorials and the Smithsonian. Trains run every day bewteen NYC and Wash DC. In any case prepare to do lots of walking no matter which town you go to. Trans to Atlantic City is usually by bus or uber- private car, etc.
The empire state building in Manhattan/NYC and times square are also big hits for sights.
And be prepared for more people than you have ever seen in your life. Tranportation by bus in NYC and subways have places to buy value tickets discounted. Xx amt of $- ride xx times. So many options.
:)
Oooooohhhh,,, didn't think about the cherry blossoms! -thanks!

Hotels are quit expensive in the city especially if in a good central location or close to subway. A Airbnb in Jersey city/Hoboken is cheaper and gives you easy access to Manhattan via PATH trains which run 24/7, and the best views of the city's skyline. I doubt any hotels, besides airport hotels, offer a shuttle service. A cab from JFK to Manhattan is around $100.
BTW, NYC is not vape friendly. Legally not allowed in any public space, open or closed.

I was thinking NYC wasn't vape friendly,,, we wont be very friendly as consumers to match them- eat, look around & run.

I was reading about the PATH system,,, looks quite big & useful- thank you for the vape reminder

Spent the afternoon rewicking and dry burning a boatload of attys. I’m so mixed up about which coils are what. I’ve been using N80 that came with some attys and my regular SS 316l or SS 430 so now I have to use wattage mode on everything. I can’t tell the difference between types of coil or materials.
I ordered lots of N80 premade coils that were on sale from somewhere.

I’ve bought so many things from so many places recently my heads spinning lol!!!

Manhattan-There are some great places to visit: the Planetarium and Museum of Natural History and the Guggenheim (if your into art) All three are in the vicinity of Central Park. Central Park is great to wander around (during the day), Strawberry Fields (with tributes to John Lennon)- although the park is better in Spring or Fall.
There's also the 'standard' Empire State building and Statue of Liberty (to be able to say you saw them). I have not been, but the World Trade Center monument is supposedly very nice as is the top of One World Trade Center (great views). Restaurants abound, all over the city. Many rave about an Italian meal on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx: nothing fancy but great food. "The Village" (Greenwich Village) in Manhattan has really great / small restaurants. One of the most amusing was Lucky Chang's- the wait staff are most astoundingly beautiful women I've seen: but then you realize they are all transvestites.
The Bronx has some really 'questionable' areas, I haven't spent much time there other than the Bronx Zoo with the g-kids.
Queens has the Old World's Fair grounds (~1963)- and Astoria area of Queens has a lot of Greek restaurants.
Staten Island- a place I just just drive through :). They do have one the largest landfills (now closed)!
Brooklyn has been rather trendy over the last 10-15 years. Many restaurants there as well.

Atlantic City is about 3 hours south of the City- may have trains between the two, not sure.

Might want to think about flying into Newark, NJ. Stay in Jersey (near Manhattan) MUCH less expensive than in the city itself- a 10-15 train ride to Manhattan. Trains / subways can get you to all the boroughs.

He is pretty quiet,,, he will blush

Same. I tried to keep it simple until recently but I still only have 4 or 5 dropin coil types. Maybe I can figure it out when I start using everything. I keep forgetting I had a couple of tanks PIFd to me that I need to get coils for. Soon. Cause I want to be done with this madness.

I have basically 3 coil types for dropins: Protank, Nautilus, and the Babybeast/hellbeast/Cerebus/SKRR

I do have an old TFV4 and TFV12 and a few coils for each but neither are tanks I really like so I wont cry when I run out of coils. I also have rebuild decks for both.

I have rebuild decks for the Babybeast/hellbeast/Cerebus/SKRR.

Protank coils can be rebuilt as can the Nautilus coils.

My long term solution really is rebuildables with drop in coils being reserved for situations where I cannot rebuild for whatever reason.

I am actually not huge on using a tank. I am a squonker at heart. :)

Have I ever told you all I’m obsessed with watching live eagle nests and their babies? I’m hooked on them.

You ought to see about going to Alaska some day then. Bald eagles, especially, are very abundant up there. We always see and photograph many of them, when groups of us go up every 2-3 summers since 2000. Many of the photos a friend takes of them, (with his huge honkin' camera and numerous lenses)...are as close-up and as good, or better, than National Geographic pics. There's also a Raptor Center in Sitka that is amazing. It's a rehab and educational center for all types of raptors.

Alaska Raptor Center – Rehabilitation. Education. Research.

There are also live Eagle Cams in many locations in Alaska...with internet access to see them in their nests. You could likely Google search to find several pretty easily. :)

By the way, I bought that same eagle design mod and tank, too.

One of my goals in retirement is to visit places with eagle nests. One of the most beautiful nests I watch is at big bear lake in California. The view is gorgeous. Another that I love is the trio nest in Illinois. Two dads and one mom. Very unique family. They don’t have babies yet. The one with a current baby is the south west Florida eagle cam. There were more in California last breeding season but I can’t remember the locations but they were nestled in the mountains next to the ocean. Duke farms in New Jersey I believe is another I watched. I have googled before all the nests with cams but I don’t have enough time to keep up with them all or I’d never get any chores done. I fell hard for eagles about this time last year and my dad loves to ask me about them. I showed him the swfl baby today. So cute! Alaska would be a GREAT trip!

I've gone years without buying much of anything, been coasting on the stockpile during that time.
Then, a few things caught my attention, I bought them and was pleased enough to add more of them to my stack. The Digiflavor Helix 18650 and Aspire Nautilus 2S, which uses the same coil as my stash of full sized Aspire Nautilus tanks. And with about 120 suitable atomizers on hand, it was a no brainer. Although, their capacity of half that of the Nautilus is a slight inconvenience.
Atomizers are lasting me at least a month apiece since I switched to unflavored eLiquid.
I like the old school. But, at my age, I guess I need to be careful not to stock too much.

Somewhere out there
Advise needed:

Trying to plan a trip to NYC+ New Jersey- never been to the upper East

We plan to fly to either city,,, we don't want to rent a car,, so subways, uber & trains are our plans & we are looking forward to the trains ;) may even take a train from Houston to NYC,,, not sure yet.

If I understand correctly,, there are 5 buroughs in NYC,,, we want to see them & eat the food of the locals not commercial foods like McDonald's or Applebee's

Not really interested in more than 15 minutes -2 hours at any common tourist destination,,,not interested in Broadway shows,, more interested in the local life & natural attractions-Central Park---possibly Niagra Falls - by train.- then uber? Hire a guide w/ car?

New Jersey- Atlantic City Boardwalk? / Others?

Hotels? 1will have to have shuttle services to the airport,, no problem ,,,, but we don't want to stay a week at an airport hotel,,, thinking about hotels near Queens so we would be close to the Burroughs,,, we don't need 5 star hotels,, but Don't want motel 6 either for this trip.

Again we know nothing about the areas,,, any advice would be great! Dying to see China Town.
Fabulous museums, natural history and art museums are a must see in my opinion. Little Italy for Italian food, park avenue to see how the rich shop :) Empire State Building, things like that I enjoyed, a concert.

I have followed the Decorah nest for several years, and the North nest, and the Peregrine Falcons...

Is Decorah the nests that the black flies were eating them up and three eaglets fell out of the nests to get away from them? D9 from one nest and the other two from the nest that is by the river? They all went to rehab and were released. Are those the Decorah nests? I felt so bad for them and the parents! Yes! I just looked at your link and I’ve read there multiple times! Small world...eagle lover world that is...

DN9 not D9. It was hilarious but scary for him when the cows were coming near him after he fell out of the nest. Poor thing.

I go out to Magee Marsh (NW Ohio) for BWAB. There are two eagle nests right by the parking lot. I’m not traveling at all these days, so I have to content myself with birding locally. Fortunately, lots to see here. There are a couple nests close to my house, I haven’t seen the nests, but I do see eagles often, from the front porch. Never gets old.

Kanger Wholesale has Uwell D2 RTA tanks on sale for $5 each. I picked up two of the "coffee" color which is really a copper color. It'll be a good match for the Rosefinch mechanical that just came in. Copper RTAs are not very common.

I do not know how old you are. I'm 60. I decided five years ago that I would rather risk having too much than to wake up same day, a decade or two in the future, wishing I'd bought more when it was cheap and readily available.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've been called a nutcase here on ECF and in RL over this since 2014. After awhile you realize you just can't fix stupid behavior in other people. Let folks know. If they take action then great and if not well that is on them. Don't let them get to you.

Edit: I think a big part of the problem on ECF now is that we have gotten so many reprieves since 2016 they think it will happen again. I think they are wrong on that but only time will tell. Worst case scenario the vapocalypse doesn't happen and I have a lovely supply of vape gear to enjoy for a long time. I'd rather be safe than sorry

"Best" case bad scenario is that B&M vape shops will be around but online vape sites will go away.

Good reason to stock up.

Stocking up on the right stuff makes sure I can stay away from B&M vape shops.

I read about people on this and other forums stocking up on the wrong things and I feel bad for them. Nothing I can do. They'll be paying out the nose for junk within a year.
