BTW, I forgot (not really)... your "religions" are your biggest problem. Not just the recognized ones (the big three, atheism - that's a good one - I let you do that one. You see you are the only creature that can live in total denial. You are the only creature that can make anything else I created into a god to rule over your psyche. Money, sex, the stars, cats, propylene glycol... you name it (I made it)......

If I didn't create you myself I wouldn't have believed it. :(

BTW my registration "captcha" was "pieces peace" in that order. OMG (can I really say that?) I thought that was pretty cool, even if I do say so myself. :D

See you around (you're supposed to say "Not if I see You first". I wish. I wait. You see, I was first but at least you could try... I specialize in wiggle room, benefit of the doubt, you know or do you?

Pieces or Peace? Still waiting...

BTW, I won't wait forever, even though I could if I want too. Peace. Got it? :thumb:

What are the odds of that: pieces peace? hmmmmmm
And I would think that you could say OMG or Oh My Me and it would be acceptable either way, but then you make the rules, yes?:D

Blimey, I didn't know Ceiling Cat could type.

Ceiling Cat is omnipotent, Kate.

Who said you were a "bad" person if you weren't religious? Heck, even if you ARE religous you are still "bad"...There is no such thing as a "good" person..

We are all FULL of sin, no matter how hard we try, we could never be considered "good" in the eyes of GOD. He is perfect and we could never measure up to his glorious standards... that is exactly why he sent Jesus, to be our sacrifice, paying the penalty for our sinfulness and conquering death so we could also live forever.

Penalty for sins=death
We all have sinned so we should all die but we don't have to b/c Jesus made that sacrifice for us. All you have to do is believe that and you too can live forever!

Remember, there is NO SUCH THING AS A GOOD PERSON
Being GOOD doesn't get you into heaven

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Now see, this is what gets under my skin and digs and digs until I have to just say something before it explodes.

It is my opinion that everyone is born perfect. Why would a god create an imperfect being? Adam and Eve? No. That is a story about the condition of mankind. Adam = mankind.

It does a lot of harm to have people walking around thinking how horrible they are. Been there, done that and won't repeat it. Why would a god need to be worshiped? Does it lack?

Eternal life? The word eternal doesn't mean what one thinks it might. Greek philosophy greatly influenced Augustine. The words in Greek are Aion and Aionios are not always meant as forever.

I just gave little response because I don't really want to write an essay at this time. But I may have to if that dang digging doesn't subside.:D

Guess Adam should have heeded your warning and protected the garden a bit better...maybe if he had shared the information with Eve that there was trouble in paradise, she would have made a different choice?

I don't know Jim, I suppose it depends on who wrote that and what their intentions were. If they said Gods with a capital rather than lower case that might also change the point.

It's all too much messing around with historical fact, myth, legend, invention and semantics for me now. I think the simplest, least authoritarian philosophies are the easiest to justify - Buddhism makes the most sense to me usually.

The Greek, Hindu and Scandinavian pantheons are the most interesting and entertaining to me. Monotheism is very boring and is usually modelled on a straight, white, able bodied, male example. Too much social control and politics but not enough sound science for me.
Kate, you are my new god. :nun:

BTW... That Hell and Heaven thing - that's your thing. Part of the wiggle room plan. You get to make that for yourself. I don't make mistakes. Cats don't make mistakes. You get to make mistakes and have to live with them. There's no other way for you to get it. Except prophecy, of course. I slowed that down alot, way too dangerous. I'll be fair, you also get sheer fantasy all the way up to total denial. I would ask if I mentioned that, but I already knew I did. I just can't be rhetorical. Listen, I have my problems too.

If one wants to hear God speak to them they need to have faith that he does in fact exist. To strengthen one's faith, faith comes by hearing and that is hearing the word of God which comes from the same book that you do not want to rely on.

So if that is the case, how do you expect to hear from him?

Many times when people hit rock bottom and they cry out to him with faith, he does answer.
This happens to many, many people of different faiths. That says alot to me about God not being the story.

Isn't hell the separation from God? If so, then we are living it.
Mistakes equate to choices (free will). We all have consequences to face, yes? (Well, not you, of course.).

Please don't let this little discussion distract you from the bigger plan. We'll get it resolved...eventually.

But if you have a mo', could you stop by the U.S. Senate and tweak the vote a bit in our favor? It would be much appreciated.

Amen

You are born imperfect. That was my whole idea! You need your parents to get you on your feet (and gain some weight). After that, your job is to perfect yourself. How cool is that? You get to earn and achieve and not be a slothful, ungrateful... don't get me started... it won't be pretty.

I provoked Adam and Eve. This way they would get to have you as a descendant and share in the perfection scheme. That was the only way I could be fair to everyone and not just them. You just don't get it. I don't regret it. I couldn't if i wanted to. Being perfect does have it's issues.

It's all up to you at this point. In a sense you have more responsibility than I do - at least in this neighborhood of the Creation.

Now I'm not asking you to be a Noah, or an Abraham or even a Moses. Just be yourself! Not some crazy idea that I let you put in your head to dominate everything around you with your agendas. Oh, no - don't get me started again. I promised Noah, I promised Abraham, I promised Moses.

If it blows up, it's your fault. That sheer fantasy and denial thing will do it.

How many times do I have to spell it out? If I told you everything, how could you have faith?

Those Bible codes are bad enough. Scary stuff, even if I do say so myself.

Trust Me.

I trust you...I just wonder if it's truly our job to bring those who do not yet trust you screaming and kicking along with us if they don't want to go. I mean, yeah, give them the info but after that what can one do?

Hey God, are we just supposed to acknowledge you and stroke your ego or is there some other purpose to existence?

I would be careful with the "Hey" stuff, for starters. Comes off as arrogant. That's ego right there.

BTW your'e veiled attacks posed as gentle questions don't fool me. Lose the habits. All of them. You might find the Kate that I created has a lot more potential than you realize. I'm betting on it. That's why the clocks still tick.

Stop playing with fire, you'll get burned. Oh, I always sound so cliche. Really, that's a limitation of your understanding, not Mine.

Being True isn't easy, but in the end, it's worth it. Trust Me.

Smokin'Sandy ever hear of entropy, the second law of thermodynamics? From order to disorder. Think it could possibly be applied to the human condition? Just curious really?
Well, we do seem to fall apart as we age and our brain will sometimes turn to mush. :D

Actually, I think humans may be getting better with each new birth. Order seems to always renew itself. Every spring, new life springs forth from decaying matter.

I'm a believer in a "god" that is not separate from any speck. The intelligence is in the forms. Forms is not really a good word to use because form is nothing but motion.

Am I rambling! Sorry. I have to allow myself to get back into religious thought in order to be 100% serious, but I'm not letting myself too much right now. It comsumes my thoughts!

Give them the info. After they have that, I'll take care of the screaming and kicking. I give you credit for giving them the info. The screaming and kicking is really what they do to me. It's so sad, really. They could be happy. It's up to them, and it's on them. Generally it's the one's who make the entropy thing a god. They hate Me because they think they could have designed it better. Trust Me. They couldn't. If they could then I would have been one of you! (God forbid). Can I say that?

Well, I'm not, that's for sure. (Thank God) Can I say that?

I can say this:

TRUST ME. SEARCH YOUR HEART FOR ME. I AM THERE. ALWAYS. FOREVER. LET ME IN. I'M BEGGING YOU. IT'S ALL FOR YOU. IT'S UP TO YOU.

I'll see you around. I hope you'll see Me. I don't want to have to make you. GOT IT?
