Hi,
I guess the question of how much you've saved is relevant to how long you have been vaping...(to me any way). The reason I say that is a newbie at vaping spends the $$ saved from cigarettes on different gadgets and e juice finding the one he/she is comfortable with. when they find the gadget/jucie the are comfortable with then the savings should be realized (if they don't spend on other toys). It cost me $384 per month on analogs, right now I am only $200+- ahead as i've been buying new vapeng gadgets...but still ahead of the game as I breath better, I don't smell, and my wife is happy, and I don't cough till I choke...
P.S. I have COPD (emphysema).

I have...but only because I told myself upfront that I would. I am on a budget because my OH and I are saving up for a cross-country move soon, so I have to. Not giving myself the choice. That being said...when I'm more comfortable, I plan on having a much larger collection. I can really see vaping as a hobby :D My ciggies of choice were about $9 a pack. Nat Shermans...had to buy them from my cigar shop next to wear I work. Youch.

Not even close - I will break even some time in 2016. But now I have a bunch of stuff and a hobby AND I'm not smoking, so it's all good - I'm not even spending the money on vape gear - well, not really. I'm going to make my own box mod, but I need tools - so that's where all my cash is going. I don't think that could really be considered vape spending though, since I'll get to use those tools for other things!

Oh building mods is fun! I was looking at the dimensions of the DNA30, and have thought about modding my Nemesis clone to house the DNA30. Just to see if I can get it to work. What kind of box mod are you shooting for?

Yup. - I will never have to buy another mod again (but I might... sometimes I just can't help myself... I went over two years since the last one before the new one I just got a month ago... so ya never know). I will never have to buy another commercial atty again. I don't expect to have to purchase any atty supplies for at least the next 3 years or more. My juice is now under $10.00 a month. I expect to buy about $40.00-$60.00 worth of batteries per year.

My current/foreseeable-future costs are $180 per year. I am not counting incidentals due to any catastrophes in that number. If a charger were to fail, maybe I'd replace it. If I get careless and break a post on a rebuildable, I'd probably get another. But barring those sorts of situations, my costs are now pretty much negligible now... less than the money for a month of smoking a name brand is paying for more than a year of vaping. Last year and the year before, I averaged about $75.00 per month in costs. The two years before that were considerably more.

Heck yeah I'm saving money. It's shocking really. I haven't kept a running total of what I've spent in the past year and a half but it's under $2,000 easily. Last I looked that means I've saved over $5,000 and not smoked over 23,000 cigarettes. Sometimes I wish I'd run those numbers when I smoked but that would have just made me more anxious, depressed and angry at myself about not being able to quit. It does help that I DIY and am not interested in buying a new mod every other week. The depressing part of that is I don't get as much vape mail as I'd like.

You can't help but save money - eventually. Especially if you DIY.

I've spent a fair amount, in spurts. Getting started, starting again when nothing seems to be working right anymore, stocking up for vapocalypse (and experimenting to know what to stock up on), and a little fun now and then.

But, in spite of it all, I've easily saved $7,000+. After all, every 3 1/2 months there's over a thousand dollars that I would have spent on cigarettes. How can I not save money?

In the last 3 months have spent more money, but that was much due to grabbing tanks that were on promo, as the KangerTech ll (ProTank & mini) are being phased out for the Protank & mini 3 dual core models. So I was able to get two ProTank ll tanks for $12 each, and two the mini for $7 each, the larger shops wanted almost double that. Both of these deals also included shipping & were verified as Genuine.

Too, I've been stocking up on e-juices, so spent a bit more there also.

However, although in the last three months I've spent more than on cigarettes, there's another factor to add in. I was being treated for asthma symptoms, that required a branded inhaler (Symbicort), not counting regular X-Rays, since I quit smoking, in less than a month, I no longer needed these, am breathing better, can sell better, can taste the food I eat, these things counts for something,

So yes, I'm saving money & my life too, at least from smoking related issues.

Too, I'm stocked on tanks, so all I need now is e-juice, of which I buy 4 30ml bottles per month, at a cost of $43 monthly, which is around what I spent on smoking. Plus I don't have to go outdoors in the cold & rain to vape, I can do it at my computer. That counts too. And being that a couple of my e-juices are sweet, it quenches my sweet tooth, so I'm not snacking/drinking sodas as much. That saves money & has helped me to lose weight.

So in the big picture, I'm saving money by vaping, though I'm spending about the same on e-juice, once all is added up. Consider this, my doctor visits for smoking related issues were costing more than smoking & vaping added together.

Something to think about. One cannot leave smoking related health expenses out of the picture, it affects the bottom line in a big way.

I am so far post the point of being able to determine how much money I've spent on vape gear. I have a severe hardware addiction. I just need to try everything. I estimate that I've spent 30k on mods and atomizers, and I haven't even been vaping a year. [Moderated] That's a conservative estimate. To give you some idea of the volume that I'm talking about, this picture is my vape table. I have a few attys that are clones, but nearly everything is authentic and a lot of it is rare, limited edition, stuff. And that's not all of it. I also have a display case at the shop with mods in it that I'm not using.

It's really messy right now. But I'm getting ready to start going rid of some stuff. I think it's time lol.

I am going for a DNA 30. First have to buy the gear and practice my soldering so I don't ruin the board!
