I am going for a dna 30. First have to buy the gear and practice my soldering so I don't ruin the board!

Good idea! My first soldering attempts were with the ptn04050C boost module(used to be the popular thing in the modding forum). I was lucky to never ruin a board, but wow they were ugly soldering jobs.

Gals and guys, do you remember vapers need much more retirement money than smokers. Does anybody increased rate of their savings?

P.S. I wish I did.

That's assuming that one has no health related issues from smoking to deal with. Medical costs adds up very fast, even with good insurance.

As to saving for retirement, that's a good thing for everyone to do, as unless one is in the small minority of receiving a generous pension & Social Security (or one's regional equivalent), there's usually not enough money for extras.

I live in Japan. Definitely spend equal amounts a month on juices and hardware is over that at this point. I'm Probably 800 in vaping.... 200 dollars not spent on smoking. But I have about 2000ml of liquid and 4 pieces of hardware.... so I'm good for a bit now. Where I am originally from smokes are 11 dollars a pack.... almost triple.... so... I guess if I lived there I would have saved 500 on smokes noe... so closer to even I guess. Anyways. I'll get to even someday

I recently figured it out - have spent an average of $3.73 a week on vaping in the last 3 years, vaping 2-3 mg's a day of 30mg/ml unflavored eliquid. Since I was smoking 2 packs a day before I started vaping, I have saved a ton.

Vaping can be done very cheaply. But, if you start believing you have to try every new mod, cleao, carto, rebuildable , and flavor that someone raves about on ecf, you are going to spend a ton.

My one year anniversary vaping is coming up in September.

For kicks, ok I am a bit ocd about tracking expenses, I logged every vaping purchase since I began. I broke even with costs/savings in June and have saved 676.80 so far. Like many my start up costs were high. I began with the V2 cigalikes (duh - but they worked for me) and moved up to Spinners, MVP2, and a Vamo5. I rebuild my own coils - never would have imagined that I would do that.
I also spent a lot in the beginning finding juices I like - doesn't everyone. Started DIY in February - those start up costs were high as well with almost every flavor imaginable, plus bottles, syringes, etc. but I should break even in October and then it's all savings.

But as many have said. Not smoking is priceless.
