Are you stockpiling / hoarding due to fear of the upcoming FDA announcement?

Quit worrying about the FDA worry about winning battles on the local levels.
If you look at most sporting events, games arent won by the big play.
Its won by grinding it out yard by yard, lay ups, or just plain old
getting runners on base.
You think all these small assaults on ecigs here and there are by accident.
Ummmmmm maybe not, I kinda will lean toward conspiracy.
Where I am trusting at the human level, on the lager corporate level I am not.
We must stay ever vigilant we must stay proactive. Its not so much
just the fight fir us, it is the fight for the ones that follow.
Let me not stay on my soap box too long...
Worry about the FDA when the FDA do what it do.
The fight is in the now in the trenches. Emailing tweeting and when
you can showing up and voicing your opinions.
I'm done

To be honest, let 'em do what they're gonna do. I have very lil' influence as an individual vs. da big bux. 'We' could make a diff, but how many of ya'll are willin' to get off your butts?

On da other hand, I'm prepared (just like Y2K and our annual 'cane preps down here). Would much rather be prepared and not have to use it vs. not being prepared and gettin' burnt!

I'm old 'nuff to have seen more than several 'tidal sweeps' in my lifetime. Adapt and prepare; you'll never regret it!

Now, as to stockpiling vs. hoarding, just depends if you believe in liberty!!!

I am all about being prepared so that someone else does not decide for me.. I have plenty of high end devices, RBA's and RDA's to last forever! As far as juice goes I am good for the short term and will buy up a bit more before the big announcement..

If little to nothing happens then cool! I can vape up the juice I have and can always sell the extra mods and RBA's I have..

Better to be safe than sorry is my line of thinking at the moment at least..

You could probably say I'm "stockpiling", but it's definitely not for any sort of upcoming announcement. I just have a lot of stuff. If things did start getting crazy I'd probably just order a couple liters of 60-100mg nic and be good for at least a decade

That's probably what I'd do. If the hammer falls there will probably be some time before the new regs/taxes went into effect. Then it would be a mad dash for nic base. I bet suppliers would be swamped with orders and finding any in-stock would be difficult.

They won't get banned. It's not logical. Health reduction is too obvious. Worst that would happen, as said, is taxing - and I honestly doubt even that would get too bad because let's face it: people vape. In today's day and age people are so quick to riot and .... over such little things. This would be one of them.

I hope that this ^^^^^ is correct. My fear is that this:
That's what they thought in the UK too, just before they decided to class them as a medicine.
is correct.

So I stocked up just in case. I've been reading "the sky is falling and big bad government is soooo bad" for, IDK, 3 years on this site. Yet, the war in congress and the events in the UK have convinced me to at least be cautious and stock up on nic-base. Have a year or so sockpiled so far. Don't know if I want to store it longer than that.

I'd have to respectfully disagree..

They can ban hardware if they choose (unlikely) and seize anything they think is e-cig related.. Atomizers and cartomizers are pretty obvious as are most RDA and RBA's..

Will they? I highly doubt that is what is going to happen but the feds have proven to be ridiculous in the past so I will never say never..

A mod would pretty much be impossible as it could simply be sold as a flashlight tube but most other e-cig related items are pretty distinguishable..

That is true. I was talking along the lines of the things that would pose ongoing problems for vapers, i.e. consumables. In the context of this thread, we all have PVs already.

I'm not stockpiling. I am going to use e-cigs regardless. If the FDA/federal government bans PVs and/or e-liquid/nicotine.....I will just purchase them on the black market, unfortunately at a mark up.

They will still be sold online, especially on the TOR network, perhaps in headshops as flashlights, at flea markets, etc etc.

All regulation is going to do is make the small business owners suffer, and make the consumers have to pay a lot of more.

What's going on with the UK ban anyway? I haven't been following. Has there been a practical effect?

We should all be stockpiling regardless.

EVERY homeowner, and head of the household, ESPECIALLY if you provide for a family, needs to be responsible enough to realize that these are turbulent times we live in.

Several weeks to months of canned foods, water, batteries, all the essentials (you better believe my nicotine falls under essentials).

When TSHTF, you DON'T want to the one looking like a deer in the headlights, empty handed. It isn't a matter of IF anymore, it is a matter of when. :)

Yeah I stocked up, got my order from China today for extra nic. (sometimes working for a trucking company that specializes in hauling pharmaceuticals has it's advantages. :) ) I won't be needing nic for a long time, assuming this stuff will hold well enough in the freezer to be of use in more than 2 years.

I did vacuum seal it in Mylar so, hopefully that will do the trick and make it last a good long time in there.

Now I also stockpiled other things when it was clear Obama was going to be president - things that are very hard to get now and, I'm glad I did it. What I paid 17.00 for then, people gladly pay 50.00 for now and, in some areas even more. I don't have to pay those prices and, I fear our nic may be the same after whatever the FDA does in October goes into effect. Might make nic for us a premium item and double or tipple the price of the stuff. If it does, by the time I run out, my pay will have increased enough to afford it again, or things will calm down and prices will be back to sensible.

That or the whole country will got to hades in a hand basket, in which case, nic will be the least of my worries. LOL

YES!

It is our fight. Pick your ground and make your stand. Locally or digitally...make a statement! Get those around you to understand what this means, they are the easiest. Convert whomever you can. I have two coverts in the last thirty days! Swell the ranks, folks!

Let our enemies fear us, before ever we meet.

ETA.. yes.. I've stockpiled nic.. it's staying in the freezer until I'm forced to make some nasty ____ concoction that a dog wouldn't vape.. so i pray it doesn't come to that.

EDIT: Robert the Bruce's father...speaking of William Wallace? Is that correct?
