I haven't started stockpiling, but I have moved into mechanicals and rebuilding not without some conscious thought about pending FDA rulings.
That's nothin'.. Here in Ontario, a pack of smokes costs upwards to 12 bucks a pack (depends on the brand). In New York, they're 14.50 a pack.
This brings up an interesting thought:
Since it is unlikely that hardware will be affected much, but with juice prices skyrocketing - is some genius mod maker going to come up with a device/atty/coil design that produces the same amount of VTF (Vapor, Flavor and Throat Hit) but from a miniscule amount of juice?
That's what I wanna see in the future of ecigs right there.
Not only that, they have already tried to introduce such a bill...Unfortunately, there are those in Congress that WOULD pass a law regarding e-cigs. Especially if their calls for deeming regulations are ignored. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...sale-distribution-marketing-e-cigarettes.html
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they could ban stuff being bought from china. Or tax it as the FDA has no authority overseas.

If they did decide to start siezing packages the chinese could always just send you the dissasembled parts and make you do it yourself lol. Impractical I know but it would circumvent the FDA rulings if they went that far.
And anybody can make liquid so I'm not too worried there. Just buy and extract your favorite tobacco and add flavorings. Sure it would limit you from having all those pure fruit or candy flavors but meh its better then nothing.
I've been toying with the idea of doing my own NET stuff anyways as it's cheaper and I could produce exactly the flavor I want without having to try flavors from 100 different vendors to get my ADV.
They already have a history of seizing shipments of anything electronic cigarette related. They would simply seize it... *If* they tax nicotine then un-taxed juice coming from China would be snatched up and heaved into the FDA furnace...
Yup... I remember that going down and I think there was also an issue with stuff getting seized in 2010 as well.. Or was that thread you posted the same as the 2010 issue? They already have a history of seizing shipments of anything electronic cigarette related.
It took the Supreme Count to stop them...

Yes, but just because FDA did it once doesn't mean that they will do it again, especially since the courts instructed FDA to regulate e-liquid as a tobacco product, not a drug after the seizure. They already have a history of seizing shipments of anything electronic cigarette related.

Beware of fallacy.
Joe crosses street and get hits by car. Therefore, Joe will get hit by a car when he crosses every street.
The point is that the FDA has shown their desire to combat electronic cigarettes.
And they are the ones now holding the keys to the future of vaping.
Are you advocating that we trust them with those keys?

Lets not get the prickly heat about Federal government, OK?
I prefer to see what FDA does next without the fantasy projections.
