I've been vaping three years. I started with a cigarette style e-cig (DSE 103) in December of '07. I've vaped on all kinds of equipment: penstlye, stick, cigar, big battery mod, high volt mod, box mod, ego style, passthrough, everything.

At one point I was going through about 8ml of liquid (24mg) a day. My skin was as dry as an alligator. I was having e-cig separation issues if I was too far from my e-cig for too long. Nic fits. Ugh.

Just recently, I pulled out my old KR808D-1 kit and started vaping on it. I've been using it now for a couple of weeks, and you know what? It's perfect! Enough vapor, throat hit, and flavor. Battery life is not really an issue with the PCC. I love it!

I will be ordering the new Bloog MaxxFusion kit on Tuesday when it comes out. If you are at all a friend of the cigarette style gear, this will be the ultimate kit to have. Check it out at the Bloog forum.

So my question to you all with your rocket launcher-sized 29,000mah, bottom-fed, liquid guzzling rigs:

Are you vaping too much?

(I'm not saying that you are vaping too much, I'm simply asking).

I can easily get carried away with my Inferno while I'm sitting at my desk. Dripping greatly increases the rate of juice consumption, so that factors in as well. I can go all evening with a 2ml mega carto filled up, but on a day when I'm dripping, I probably use a bit more than that. I'm getting over a cold and during the worst of it I had a good 2 or 3 days where I didn't vape at all, so that helped me get to more of a middle ground once I started up again.

It depends. Sometimes I feel like I'm vaping a LOT, other days I barely touch it.

The same went with analogs, though. Some days, a fourth-half a pack, other days a PACK and a half. Same goes for coffee, junk food...

:p I try to moderate, without causing a ridiculous amount of stress. That, and I carry on me always to prevent dryness:
*Water, no matter what.
*Lip balm, and never the Chapstick brand.
*Face moisturizer (completely natural) / Body & Hand lotion (also natural)
*Water, water, and more water.

I've only been in this 8 months. I started with a 510 and two weeks later ordered an Ego kit. I bought a 900 mah Ego battery as a backup. I started with cartridges, moved to Ego mega cartos, tried a few 510 cartos and ended up dripping. I really have no clue how much liquid I consume because I'm a flavor hound and usually rotate 3 flavors at any given time. My PV is more of a pacifier when I'm not working. At work, I'm able to set it aside without going nuts for a nic fix which is so much different from when I was smoking and HAD to take a cigarette break every 30 minutes or get the jitters. I probably vape too much but so far I've had no negative effects and my health has improved tremendously so it's all good. Thanks for posting your 3 year update. We don't get to see many posts from people who have been in this for a considerable amount of time. That was an interesting read.

I go though about 6ml's of 6mg a day. Yeah i probably am vaping too much but who cares, i enjoy it lol.

And FAUXPUFF, i am also looking to see the MaxxFusion too, i'm an 808 freak so i have to get everything 808 related as long as it's not a ripoff, but that new PCC looks just awesome, i need it :D

A regular carto generally holds about a ml, so it sounds like you're using less than a ml/day. However, low-medium-high varies by company. I think in most cases low is around 11-12mg/ml and around 16-18mg/ml is listed as medium or high. I'd check with the company to find out the exact concentration rather than rely on vague relative terms.

The real question is whether you're comfortable at the amount and nic level you're using. If you are, then you're vaping the exact right amount. :)

I don't know. I have a pile of cartomizers of different strengths and flavors and a box full of e-liquid samples, most of which are 24 mg./l. in strength. I switch off between a Joye Ego, an E9 and a KR808D-1.

Being blind, I never know what flavor/strength I am grabbing. It's like opening a Christmas gift every time I switch cartos or drip a new flavor!

I monitor my body. If I'm craving more nicotine, I will take more puffs. If I'm starting to get symptoms of nicotine overdose, I back off, drink some water, go grab a breath of fresh air.

I'm sure that the experts would say this variable schedule of reinforcement is a poor way to withdraw from nicotine, but I've smoked a total of 3 analogs in the past five weeks, so something must be working right. Maybe it's the "new toy" factor, maybe it's the variety of flavors. I don't know. I only know that I really love vaping so far and intend to continue.

BTW, I've spent the last few days laid up with an orhthopedic issue, and I've vaped quite a lot more than I normally would. I have nursed an Espresso/18 mg. carto all day on my KR8 PT, with no ill effects.
