no. you could however do a quad coil.

you have 2 negative terminals there. typically, the number of negative terminals determines your max # of coils. however, there are a few ways to add more coils. a dual parallel coil is one example. you hold two wires parallel to each other, then wrap them around your mold as if the two wires were one, but keeping the wires parallel. youd want each parallel coil to follow the same rules as a typical dual coil setup. so youd end up with a quad coil on this atty.

another way to fit more coils is by wrapping two separate coils and mounting them on top of each other - not touching, obviously - except for where the leads fasten to the shared posts. but again, youd end up with 4 coils here because you need each side of the atty sharing the resistance equally.

"liked", not for your breaking (sorry to hear) but for the info to guide my purchase. i really love the look, but im clumsy sometimes and if the cap isnt super thick, id break it in a matter of time.

Thanks for the advice. I'll hold off until we find out if replacement glass is available.

Just posted this on the other thread:

I got the Aris RDA too and haven't found a great build yet. It works but not as good as my Magma. I love how it looks and that I can see inside and that it doesn't leak like the Magma though.

My guess is that most of the airflow from the center post is going straight up, so if your coils are to the side of it the airflow will pass them by. So normal horizontal coils should be raised above the airholes I think. That would explain why you don't get enough vapor.

So far I have only tried building "outer wicking" coils similar to vertical coils but horizontal facing away from the center airhole post and wrapping a broad strip of cotton around it so that it forces the airflow from the center airpost through the coils. But it doesn't work as well as I want it to. Maybe there is still too much air bypassing the coils.

Anyone has any tips how to build and wick it?

The best Aris build I have found is dual vertical coils at about .8 ohms making a horseshoe shape with the wicking (Japanese organic cotton). I would also like to add that COV doesn't recommend builds lower the .7 ohms on the Aris but I have done some sub ohm builds on it but really didn't think they were very impressive..

oh yeah... and I very much like vaping on the thing.. :)

    Regards,

    Kurt

I guess I have to try that build! I believe the "horseshoe" wicking helps redirect more airflow to the coils instead of straight up.

Know this thread is a little old but Eve is selling the replacement glass tops for the Aris now. Actually they are the official online seller for all Council of Vapor products.

The Council of Vapor - Replacement Top Cap

I'm still trying to find the best setup for mine. Have actually build higher ohm coils using finer wire and that seemed to help.
