me too! i was using fused clapton wire. the cotton seemed to get dark like within one tank. thing is that i never got a dry hit or anything. I checked often right after vaping i would unscrew the tank really quick to make sure my wicks were not dry so I dont know what the deal is with that. I also only made 4 wraps so the coils were getting max airflow coverage know what I mean? I can't figure out why they gunk up so much faster

Depends on the juice. I usually use medium to dark colored juices and my coils and wicks get nasty quick. But I recently got a clear juice and it took five days for it to even start turning brown.

I mean, even juices that dont gunk would gunk faster on vertical

Wow, thanks a ton for this. I've been looking for a match. The closest I've come was a derringer styled drip tip that just overhung a fraction (but still drove me crazy).
The Zephyrus drip tip lines up nicely! If I don't use the stock one I use that one.

So this Aromamizer is amazing. Just got mine today, the 6ml 2 post. Just amazing flavor and clouds, and I haven't even turned up the heat yet. After reading through here I decided to try my first vertical build. Came out to .32 ohms. I'm in love. All I originally wanted was to find rdas withthe velocity deck, but I'm so glad I stumbled on this thing.
I've been doing that. Collecting a ton of RDA's with two post build decks, got the Velocity clone, Velocity Mini clone, Fishbone Plus, Hobo V3.1, Vaporshark Vortice. I also picked up the Hannya postless and I have to say that the Hannya is by far my favorite. With the "mesh" drip tip, it vapes so smooth with zero spit back.

That Hannya looks cool, I've never seen a postless rda like that.

The tricky part is doing a build that is stiff enough that will be able to be supported well. I've got a Clapton build in it now and it works great. And you can't complain when the price for an authentic is only $30. I got one on Black Friday at my local B&M and liked it so much I bought another two online.

Sanding the bottom of the tank works great. It's the only permanent fix imo. If you sand too much off the first time and the tank rotates too far, sand some more until you get it right. You can try multiple times without hurting anything.
I filed one of mine down a lot I think it made the chamber a good bit smaller which warms the vape up a little. I kept going until the posts were about to touch the top of the inner chamber.

Smart. Smaller chambers do typically produce better flavor. How much material do you think you removed?

I believe the "best" method is to remove the 2-post and seat it between 2 of the deck holes.

As long as the 2-post doesn't move, and you can observe that it doesn't, you can seat the coil 100% of the time w/o the need to modify the base PHYSICALLY.

Applies to both verticals and horizontals though most relevant to verticals.

Really? If that's true, that the two post portion can be rotated and retightened on the velocity base, no sanding would be required. I'll check that out next time I recoil.

hi scott !
been using it for the last 3 weeks now . as far as flavor ... I used every thing from hemp fiber to other different cottons and stainless mesh ..never tasted any flavor differences ...just me so.
I love this stuff .. very easy to work with ..it stays clean much longer for some reason ..my flavors are from vz and they are pretty clear ..cant figure out why it gunks up other cottons more ..run 5 tanks on the same wick in one build !!
don't know about less absorbent ..wicks perfect for me ..enjoy your aromamizer

Wait. ... what? SS mesh? How'd that work for ya? Vertical I assume. Yes? I would love to see a pic with build details if you can @rolf. Is been so long since I've touched ss mesh. You've peaked my interest!

hi pizza2me !
jes the ss was in another mod so ...now you putting bugs in my ear ! why not in this aromamizer ?
I used to cheat on that usualy . did not flame the ss at all , just picked up tiny bit of cotton on the outside . next to nothing and never again had any hot spots.
thinking out loud now ..roll some up w cotton inside to touch the deck ..wind coil and install a vertical like in a genesis.
would work nice for thinner wire for low wattage coils .
I have my 4th aromamizer soaking and another spare v deck also ready for builds . thanks for the edea ..it will go on one of them.

hi roxynoodle
just played with it a little bit and throwed one together. vapes ok and also wicks ok to . so it has potensial .
but not as easy to build as it sounds ! having a problem with the ohms . wicked it with 28 g . 2.5 mm .
came out at 1.2 ohms. couple of drags and varied 0.76 ! so somewhere it shorts part of it.
could be the ss shell is a little to long and shorts to the top or bottom . ill will play wit it some more later .
also tried a twisted two strand 28 on 2.5 mm drill horizontal at 1.1 ohms . not to bad... still so far I like the build with 4 srands 34 g twisted the best ! have two build that way. ft has your black version !!! and also 5 vdecks for about 10 bucks I think I order some . you started a monster w this tinkerers delight lol

Lol! That's exactly what you did to me! I'm going to have to dig out my mesh and do some playing around. Not sure though now. Not much room in there. And, yes, it seems you would have to involve cotton. Hmm. ... tinker time!

I recieved the low cost clone of the 3 ml last night. It's the one posted a few pages back. Fastec if I remember right. Terrible machining. the reservoir is much deeper. Which looks to me like it would make for bad transfer of liquid to the wicks. Base is much taller, and the top of the device is both flatter than the Original and the part that I use as the tip, is also much shorter. So it needs a drip tip.

The build post (V-Deck) are much smaller, and the screw holes go all the way thru. The only up side, is that it came with 5 of the air flow bands in black, red, green and yellow. BUUUUT, all but one was 4 hole. Huh? And they were even worse quality!

Do Not pull the trigger on one of these!

all in all, after I opened it, I got on the PC and ordered another Aromamizer from VapeNW within the hour. LOL!!!

Not money saved, but rather Money wasted. Who can afford that? Grrrrrr!!!
