LAy them on a black background- like felt from Wallyworld $.25 in the craft section...It wont reflect light or create a false flash. Take a picture from DIRECTLY above the tip. It keeps other light sources from distorting the color from the side. If you have a side light problem, put it in a pie pan or such.

Yeah the one o-ring is a bit larger but once it is in there it's not going anywhere That is a nice pic that you posted
