Morning all, hope your weekend's off to a great start!
After much thought, I decided not to get Tara the sampler from five pawns. Instead, I'm ordering it for me and I'll get her to try them and if there's one she really likes, I'll order a full bottle for her. And with that, my Christmas shopping's done (well except for gift cards for my father and step-mom, lol).

Well, I'm being multi-ethnic today. My house smells like a Cuban restaurant (I'm trying my first Cuban dish, Ropa Viejo, in the crockpot) and I'm fixin to make German Chocolate cookies (though I seriously doubt German chocolate has anything to do with Germany).

Morning Tipsters, Well it's getting closer to Christmas for us Downunder. Just finished putting Christmas presents under the tree for tonights lightshow. All of my little clients are invited over for presents and Christmas games. Poor Ralf has to dress up as Santa which he hates. He says the outfit itches and is hot. "Too bad so sad" I tell him it's for the kids.
The animals will be dressed up and lots of kids food.
I love seeing the childrens faces when they come in. Most of them don't have much of a Christmas so they look forward to this each year.
I also threaten during the year if they don't behave the elf won't send a invite.
But they have all been so good this year and of course it been a big year for us as well.
Happy to be alive.

Oh I forgot. The cat during the night knocked the Christmas tree over and broke it. That's why it looks a bit messy. So I just sent Ralf off to buy a new one so we can have it looking nice for tonight.
Luckily they are all on special at the moment so I am hoping he comes back with a nice one.
I am at home today not feeling the best so he has been sent out to be the "Hunter & Gatherer"

I have to share this with you guys. I hate cooking rice. I'm notorious for scorching it and making a big ole mess in the pan. Recently I came across a recipe for Cajun rice, which among things cooks the rice just like you do pasta. You put 4 cups of water and 2 bay leaves in a pot, bring to a boil. Salt and add 1 cup of rice. Cook 11 minutes or until tender. Drain and put it back in the pot with a tbsp. of butter. It works! No more rice-phobia for this boy!
