Dude Ad I feel your pain, I talk a lot in my sleep (apparently, I still don't believe it) and on two occasions have punched my wife in my sleep. Both time we both woke up crying, her because she was like dude why did you punch me, and me because I was like dude why did I punch you ?!?

Sure it sounds funny but I hit hard, and her chest showed the mark :( I felt soooo bad, we both cried haha

Why do you think I am up in the middle of the night reading? This happens several times a week now. I am so tired from being awakened by screaming, kicking, and punches. I'm going to move into the spare bedroom with the foster cat lol. I've gotta have some sleep!!!! I'm going to buy an alarm clock for that room and move right on in. Separate bedrooms.... first step toward divorce? I guess we'll find out....

Lurker stopping in tonight to come clean------- I am a destroyer of beautiful things.

I set my zenesis with beautiful Trippy Tip in a spot I knew to be a bad idea. Returned to find a travesty. Hopefully my stupidity will serve as a reminder to listen to the voices in our heads, and handle with care.

Oh no..... I'm sorry to hear that. Yes, lesson learned, but a hard one. May you be successful in your quest this weekend...

I do several strange things in my sleep, actually. I also rub my feet against the sheets like I'm running until I wear holes in them. Sometimes my husband will lay on my legs to get me to stop. I sometimes talk and walk too. Maybe I have some weird sleep disorder.

Are you sure you don't have RLS? I read your post about the jaw not being able to close. I suffered from an attack of TMJ that happened overnight and lasted a week. If it is that, a dentist can get the jaw back into place.

I need a Trippy Tip to fit on this. Dual 26650 vv mod. Only problem with it is that anything I put on it will look tiny. So a mega Trippy Tip might help. :2cool:

It's called erm... The Salty Rod... I am just going to tell people it is a Modstrosity though.

I preordered it last night, ships end of April, and have been trying to come up with a way to put something on it that will not look totally out of place. Any chance of a hand with this Bert? *begs*

Actually it could be a step towards a happier marriage, as long as the other half doesn't get all pouty because you're in a different room. Better rested makes just about everything better. Also with night after night of interrupted sleep you can start to build up some resentment, at least I know I do lol.

Morning/Day Fine Tripsters. What a treat and joy to catchup read. So much hililarity. Good thoughts beaming out to you who need them. Some left over for everyone else. Had a 36 hour "day" with 1.5 power nap Wed. wee hours and came home from meeting last night to pass out pretty quickly. Debating whether to go back to sleep for a few hours or start working.

Vintage so sorry.

Jaw issue.... think good advice given. I'm a mouth breather, much of time, especially when sleeping (DH loves to take pics of the Bubs, snuggled up to me when sleeping, and me with mouth agape) so when any doc asked me if I grind my teeth I always have to laugh. I'd suffocate if someone taped up my mouth for any length of time.

Sleeping apart can be a marriage saver. Conjugal visits are fun.

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee time in Denver.

Kami you so totally crack me up. Austin traffic is a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back to the rattlesnakes, oh yeah. Last week was a busy one for me, snake wise but only non-venomous so far. Preface with part of fence down in back fenced area and they love to escape and roam the woods. One afternoon Heeler Rosie had a beautiful flesh colored Hognose cornered in courtyard (it leads to their front fenced yard) and courtyard is way overgrown; on south side so s/he was sunning and waiting for her man I think. Had to bring all in till it escaped. (I don't like to traumatize the good non-venomous snakes by using catcher to move them.) Next day she and sister Heeler Lily had a silvery black Hognose blocked from leaving the courtyard, about same time of day 1500. Had to bring all in so it and probably they could escape. (We usually have several breeding pairs up close to the house every year.) Next afternoon both girls had a 6-7 ft Ratsnake blocked from crossing walkway right up by door. (We love for one or two to take up residence in converted garage, each year, to help with the Woods and Norway Rats.) Had to bring them all in. Next early evening, front door open and Rosie Heeler raising cane. She had a newly hatched Yellowbellied Racer, "cornered" all wound up in a tiny coil, striking at her. They are about the nastiest tempered snakes; fast as hell. No way to handle them without getting bitten and then they latch on and hold (from having pet snake experience.... put hand down in water to get them to release). Too small to use catcher but small enough to put drinking glass over.) Used to think Ratsnakes had the meanest temperment but the Yellowbellied Racers are the worst especially as babies. And as adults, one of the most beautiful N American snakes, they can actually raise up like a cobra to look over high grass and to strike. (non-venomous). Hognose can do that too but they are slow and have very poor eyesight.

No Copperhead bites yet but they will probably happen. Jake Mastiff gets them on his face. Doodles usually on feet but Heeler girls are fast enough they haven't had any bites yet (they turned 2 yr in Jan). This year the boys are not getting riled up when the Heeler girls mess with the snakes so hoping our bite incidence will be zero like last year.

We do benadryl, observe and if swelling stops in 30 minutes or so, we're pretty sure it isn't Rattlesnake. We start antibiotics. No vet visit unless into boney area. We've had two secondary bone complications, on two separate dogs, in 26 years originating at Copperhead bite site; one nasal area on Rottie, other hock on Mastiff.

And yes we do Rattlesnake Vaccine. Hope we don't have to see how well it helps. Wish is was approved for humans!!!!!

Everyone have a great day. FRIDAY!!!!!

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Wow Alice, you seem to have A LOT of snakes in your area... when I was last in tx the only snakes I saw were in a wall of aquariums at a friends house... now, the spiders on the other hand, they were many, and VERY large, and quite colorful.. fun to watch for the new webs every night though... they were busy creatures.

I'm a month into braces. Yam, cooked in microwave for 6 minutes (punch holes with fork first), cut in half smush up and season with good-for-heart fake butter. Same with baked potatoe and sour cream. Pimento cheese on soft bread, open faced. Good bread is Mrs. Bairds whole grain-no sugar. Open faced soft bread with flavored cream cheese spread. Pineapple is great. DH hates the Strawberry but I just had some and liked it. I'll certainly hear about that when I tell him. Nissin Asian noodle bowls... add water, stir, microwave for 4-5 minutes. Any noodle bowls but I like Nissin the best. Campbels Tomatoe Bisque soup made with 2/3 milk, 1/3 water. Crunch up low fat Ritz crackers and let get a little soggy and chow down. Add Ritz as needed. My favorite "comfort food" and actually settles my stomach, any stomach "ailment."

Bananas sting like crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who'd a thunk it.

Of course Oatmeal. Lightly toast bread, spread good-for-heart fake butter, tear up into small chunks, and let soften in thin oatmeal.

Salmon Croquets. Salmon doesn't get caught up in braces like tuna. Made the mistake of pulled chicken and it was driving me crazy the whole time because of strings getting caught in braces. I can do lettuce now but won't because it gets caught up so much while eating.

Bananas sting like hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Applesauce.

"Naked" brand fruit and veggie smoothies. They have some reduced calorie. Gotta get some veggies in. Our Target has the brand near veggie area. V-8 juice; comes in low sodium but not as flavorful.

If you have a juicer you know what to do.

Cottage cheese. DH makes a great dessert with cottage cheese, some artificial sweetener, and a lemon juice. Or dice up softer fruits to mix in.

Yogurt. Yogurt actually has some beneficial bacteria in it that are good for mouth health, too. Just keep the sugar low. Good for desserts with fruit, already in it, or dice up softer fruits into very small pieces and mix in. Yogurt for a Beautiful Smile - Health Tip - RealAge

Scrambled eggs.

Did I mention bananas sting like hell???!!!!

I'm surround by the State Park, Cedar Hill Habitat and hiking trails, and Audubon lands on more than three sides. It is very wild out here. My wild area comes up to the house on one side and is no further away than a few yards except for the narrow, mowed stip of part of back yard.

I haven't done serious spring clean up yet and we've had a lot of rain. Except during drought, last year, and we didn't water so most went to neighbors who did some watering, it's not unusual to see at least one snake a day, and within 20 feet of my house. We have a very serious "shoes always" especially at night, even in the house, and as serious a "flash light always" rule, even if going to the car. There is a security light about 30 ft from house but not enough light to keep from stepping on a snake.

Our worst year for Coppeheads, actually two summers in a row, was when I had a leak in the pool and let it go down a few feet during winter, instead of keeping it open all year as most down here do (even if covered). When I started clean up the pool was full of thousands of tadpoles. We decided to let them mature.... Hundreds of cute Leopard frogs. I put branches into pool and a ramp for them to escape. Not too long after we were over run with hundreds of Copperheads. We did a hunt every evening and always snagged one right up at the house, usually several. This went on all summer, but eased up a little the next. Next it was back to normal so only a few a week. This is all right up at my house only a few yards away. Not unusual for me to be sitting on deck, in afternoon, and have one cross the deck right under my chair, as if I wasn't even there.

Last year, with extreme drought and our not watering we saw very few.

When Joe Pool lake was filling we had several extremely large Rattlesnake sitings a week as they were fleeing. That got less and less each year we lived out here for first 10 years. Then we didn't see any till a juvie drowned in pool about three years ago. And then a couple more here and there. Fall 2010 we found a carcass of one about 40-48" with its mouth around a dead very large Rabbit, about 20 ft from our house by a shed. We figure it was going after a nest of baby rabbits under the shed and momma rabbit lived long enough to kill the snake. Looks like maybe fangs didn't get a good hit into rabbit at first so it had enough time to do damage. I do have pictures. Small mammals can do serious damage to snakes. That's why you don't feed live rodents to pet snakes that have been raised on frozen/thawed rodents.

It's always exciting in "Never Never Land" otherwise known as "Home of the Swimming REOs," or "New Fort West."

Spider Haven out here. Last year was a very rare exception because of drought. When I was in Pre-Vet, at the UofK(entucky) my favorite course was Entomology (and my easiest A) so I'm in bug heaven out here. We keep a dissecting microscope, usually in kitchen, or within easy reach in laundry room. DH shares my fascinations but hates spiders. We frequently rescue Tarantulas that come in so the dogs won't mess with them or step on them. Any worker out here is warned in advance that I will break knees if s/he is caught killing a Tarantula.

A fair amount of Texas Corals, too. They average 30" but I have one in my freezer that is ~40", caught right up at my house foundation. That's were we usually see them because it is sandy near the house. We euthanize snakes by putting them in bags and then into very cold freezer. The really bad Copperhead summer we caught a female ready to give live birth. She did and I have pictures.

Okay, nappy time. I had planned on doing some clearing today but I hear thunder off in the distance. Oh boy.... probably no electricity today.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

{edit} First week we were here, after moving in we had a juvie Rattlesnake in dining room. We had him freezedried and mounted. His name is Rattles. Many occasions Copperhead in house. I had one Mastiff girl who watched out for me and warned me when any were near. Almost got popped by one curled up on door threshold. Would have if she hadn't been right ouside the door snarling at it as I was heading out door.

{second edit} Even when I was a smoker I had a pretty good smeller and could smell snakes if I got close to them if it wasn't too windy. (Dust bowl and fierce winds a lot out here. Slight breeze is 20 mph.) Now that sense is even better. Have to be on guard all the time and pay attention to everything going on around you.

Good Morning Trippy Village

Kami that so sweet but it's my lesson to learn. I bougt a buzz and a fishpack both didn't work. The seller of the fishpack was just nasty but I was lucky that the original maker of the unit took it for me and fixed. The buzz blew up immediately and the seller is saying she didn't get it back. In the same week I bought a new unit from a Chinese seller it also didn't work and now I am trying to get the money back for that. So in 1 week I did 3 units and no joy with any of them. Oh and this week I got the Mod from Hawii and it's not working and I am trying to get my money back for that. So I revise the amount lost to $250.00.
Dang Vintage........How about I send you an emergency Irish care package..........PM me your Southern Hemispheric Tippy Trippy Local ...... don't get to excited ..it's just a bottle of whiskey with an atty floating around in it.

YIKES...you broke the Zenesis? Mine arrived yesterday, it's so heavy you could bludgeon baby seals with it.

Good morning Tripsters!

Sending hugs to deemer and Vintage. :(

Healing, comforting vibes to Adcurti.

Kami how is the foal doing?

I fight two standard poodles all night for bed space. They all have their own bed or ottoman, yet insist on sleeping on either side of me. The boy slept in the bed for about a week but that HAD to stop. (he was becoming territorial and he can take up the whole bed when stretched out.)

I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!
